My fear is that God forbid if NYT went out of business as seems more likely than before now, what would happen to same same evening news scripts for all major channels CBS,NBC,ABC.

It wouldn't change a thing if NYT went belly-up tomorrow ...

FTA: http://benswann.com/definitive-proof-that-the-mainstream-media-is-scripted/

As Ben Swann (https://www.facebook.com/BenSwannRealityCheck) points out “In most of these cases where O’Brien uses anchors from different TV stations all over the country reading the exact same script word for word, the source of that script is some kind of wire service. This means those stations have subscribed to AP, Reuters, CNN, FOX, ABC, NBC, etc wire services. In those cases, the wire story will come down and a station reporter or producer will copy and paste it word for word into a newscast. The problem with this policy is that reporters and producers simply take that content as gospel and no one in any newsroom ever bothers to fact check or verify if the wire story is correct. Simply put, in a newsroom, if it is on the wire it has to be true.”

IIRC, Conan, Stewart, etc do basically the same bit every year at Christmas time.

Most of the news comes from the Associated Press and Reuters. That's pretty common knowledge.

+1 The bylines for every national story I've read in a paper (or most webbernet sites) come from one of those two.

Probably common to us, but most mundanes probably don't even think about it. Which is very unfortunate, and hopefully these type of videos can help at least make some think.

I learned it when I was on the radio. The morning news segments, they had a rss feed aggregated from several wire services, and would pick from there. Some of them were subscription-only. Usually it can be localized as well.

Missed the Elephant in the Room.

What happens when it isnt a Fluff Piece? What happens when all of the talking heads repeating the exact same script all parrot why we should attack some country? Or why we should all support Permanent Martial Law? RFID Bio Chip Implants? Eat GMO Foods? Blindly trust anything any person with an Official Label or Costume tells us?

The easiest Lie to tell is the one a person believes to be the Truth.

These people that read their scripts dont think. They get paid to read. Nothing more. And they are kept so busy that they have no time to investigate, or think for themselves. They end up believing headlines at face value. The people that do nothing more than listen to these stories are also given no time to think about any news story. The subjects change so quickly from Community Food Drive to Gang Shooting that the next news story, what ever the subject matter, becomes a distraction to the previous story, also regardless of the subject matter. Good news about the Economy as Unemployment (the two are not related in the way they measure both) Rates have officially gone down, because all the useless eaters that have been on Unemployment and have been unable to find jobs are no longer collecting benefits. Good news about the Fukushima Disaster. It is no longer important because we are not talking about it.

Repeat the Lie often enough and people will believe it.

Good news in the War on Terror as all Brown People have been deemed Terrorists and will be indefinitely detained. Good news about vaccines as more people are forced to receive vaccinations. Good news about the Economy as Inflation has gone UP. Good news about Privacy as you have none you are now "safer". Good news about those dangerous Jaywalkers as cops crack down instead of going after violent criminals. Good news about Gun Violence as legislation is presented to deprive would be victims of the ability to defend themselves. Good news about Animal Cruelty as a Senator mows down a flock of ducks with no remorse and Cops have shot another dangerous Chihuahua 273 times. Good news about Education as Cops have tazered an autistic boy for being autistic. Good news about the Economy as lawmakers have decided the solution to printing up too much money and giving it to greedy Mega Banks is to print up more money and also give it to greedy Mega Banks.

How often are those lies spoon fed to the mass public?
