But but but we still have 57 States of the Union and that hasnt changed since Hawaii and Alaska were granted Statehood! So I guess youre absolutely right, comrade!

But could you correct me on a few things? I dont recall when Washington DC became a State instead of just a District? And I keep trying to learn about all these different States, but only find 50? Did I Googel that wrong?

(yes, only 50 states, not 57, as in Heinz 57, playing dumb...)
