if he ran. And he should.

This should be read as more of rebuke/dislike for drone king care (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?433586-Majority-of-Americans-now-believe-Obama-is-quot-dishonest-and-untrustworthy-quot&p=5312884&viewfull=1#post5312884)/Dems rather than Like for Republicans, hopefully saner version of GOP would cash in on this shift:

Poll: Big gain for Republican Party

Democrats are on the losing end of a 13-point swing in the polls since October, resulting in an early lead for the GOP heading into 2014, according to a new poll on the midterm elections released Thursday.
The CNN/ORC International survey (http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2013/12/26/cnn-poll-gop-has-edge-in-early-midterm-indicator/) shows Republicans holding a 49 percent to 44 percent lead over Democrats, a swift reversal from just two months ago, when the Democratic Party stood steady with an 8-point lead over the GOP, 50 percent to 42 percent.

If Republicans have enough sense to nominate him, he will win.

If Republicans insist on nominating another loser, he will lose.

The only thing that could possibly make the Democrat look good is another one of those losers the Republicans love to nominate. On the (terrible) advice of Fox News, of course...

Wonder if GOP will find the courage to nominate another McCain or Romney in 2016... I suspect they won't.

And I agree, if GOP nominated Rand, he will win.

Is that courage? Or just stupidity? In any case, they will offer more of the same, and Fox will lie about how electable they are.

And I agree, if GOP nominated Rand, he will win.

Yes he will.

The GOP would rather give the Dems power than the son of Ron Paul.

What GOP? You talking about William Kristol? Damned straight he would. You talking about my neighbor Billy Bob? No, he wouldn't. He'd rather die.

The trick for us is convincing Billy Bob that Rupert Murdoch agrees with Kristol, not Billy Bob, and Murdoch owns Fox News.

The GOP doesn't give a rats ass what your neighbor Billy Bob thinks. Or what you or I do. It will take a national movement to down those %^%&**^&*'s

If the GOP didn't give a rat's ass what Billy Bob thinks, the corporations wouldn't be spending billions fund Fox News in an attempt to tell Billy Bob what to think.

It still serves their interests to maintain this charade as a representative democracy. If this illusion ever gets shattered, all the Billy Bobs are liable to get motivated enough to make Washington care what they think...

At least the WSJ seems to think they give a little bit of a damn--to the tune of some fifty million bucks--about making Billy Bob think right:

I'm not arguing they put out a lot of effort and money to promote their pick. What I'm saying is they are going to ram that pick down our throats regardless. Who was in favor of Mitt Romney to begin with? But yes, I'll concede your point, they work very hard to make the republican voter think their pick is the only one "electable".

In the 2012 cycle? The great many gop officials and gop candidates that Romney had spent the 4 years since 2008 putting money in the pockets of. That's who.

Well, you know, if we start right now, we might just help all the Billy Bobs see the truth of the matter, which is that Rand Paul is clearly the one who can get the swing voters and win one for the GOP. If we do, we'll bring the issue to a head. If all the Billy Bobs vote for Rand, and they all compare notes and figure out they all voted for Rand, then when they try to install someone else, it could be less than pretty.

Valid point. Yeah, I mean the powers that be... behind the scenes. The average Republican (At least in my experience) has a limited care for liberty, but they'd rather vote for a libertarian leaning conservative than a "liberal."

Obviously the anger towards Obama is because he isn't hard enough on terrorists. We need a younger John McCain who is even more moderate!

i think hillary will be the nom on the dems side. WE (not they) must put rand against her. rand would make her look like a child as he has already only on national tv. a sure win if rand gets the nod.

I don't think you will even have an opportunity to nominate a candidate in either party.

Didn't both parties lock it down to them picking your candidate for you. Each party had some sort of rigged election where you sold away your right, didn't they?

That is not correct at all, first people are not happy with him or the democratic party because they are Socialists and pushing Socialism upon this country, it has nothing to do with what you are saying, Secondly the last thing we need is anything like McCain, people like McCain are just as bad for this country as the dems.

Until the issue of vote fraud is dealt with, Rand, nor any other non-establishment candidate is going to the President.

I hate to be "Debbie Downer", but no way; until the RINO's are run out of Washington.. And when you have hyped up RINO's like Huckabee with heavy FOX News support; endorsing Lindsey Graham?????? The Saudi's have already picked out the next candidate (if there is one) .. the mainstream reporters don't know who the next President will be... but the station owners sure do.
