“The American people are tired of Washington dysfunction. Legislating from crisis to crisis has caused a trillion dollar debt and an acceptance of the status quo. This budget resolution offers a path to reduce the deficit and cut spending in a responsible way. Getting back to a regular budgeting process allows us the opportunity to cut spending and root out wasteful programs. I look forward to breaking through the partisan log-jam and doing what the American people sent us up here to do---bring back the greatness of America. While not a perfect bill, this is an important first step in bringing our nation back from fiscal calamity.”

Not quite sure what you meant with your wording but to me that shows he's one of them rather than one of us.

If we put enough heat on him I think we can keep him from going sour.

He's an anarchist that generalizes about the GOP among other things.

Thomas can speak for himself, but Ted may be one of those "zombies" that Thomas talked about...

Ted was seen as one of the good guys, until he went over to the dark side with this vote.

It's just one black eye. I don't think my husband should go to jail for it and I certainly won't leave him over it.

On the bright side it seems like bentivolio had a successful amash/massie intervention.

The political junkies among us knew Sanford would easily be a top 5 Congressmen.

About time he got the memo. If he keeps it up, people might actually volunteer and donate to his campaign again.

i dont think this should be an end-all type vote. Yes it is important but Ted has been great on several other issues.

I can't believe people on here doubted him, even trashed him at times.

I don't think people doubted him or his record as much as they called into question his integrity, given his infidelity. Which, yeah, you're a public figure and politician, so like every one else, their flaws will be put on blast. So yeah, that's why I believe he got trashed.

Also, are people here going to turn against Yoho for this one vote? They're not going to get them all right. Heck, when the immigration bill came up in the Senate, someone here said that was the bill that would make or break Rand Paul's political career? ...like, really? Calm it down.

Libertarian101...and he still believes it will, to the extent that he predicts Rand will be primaried out of his Senate seat come 2016. He really has no understanding of Republican voters.

This country will end if they pass immigration reform, the spending is terrible but immigration reform and amnesty will be the end of this country.

Of course. Yes. The GOP is predominately pro-military more than it is fiscally conservative, and Yoho's comment shows it.

FIFY

Yeah, that's true.

The GOP isn't monolithic.

I realize that. I wasn't talking about those few that are actually pro-liberty, obviously. Although for me, that's one senator and a few congressmen.

He's an anarchist that generalizes about the GOP among other things.

The anarcho-capitalist/minarchist debate is not the issue at hand here. My issue here is with military-worshipping warmongering, not minarchists.

These Congress critters better learn to bend the knee to the liberty movement or be destroyed.
