It actually turns into a pretty good article.

Yeah. And it linked to this one by the New Republic: "President Paul" (http://www.newrepublic.com/article/113494/president-rand-paul-hes-becoming-better-politician-every-day). Am I still on planet earth?

It put things in a perspective I never considered.

Rand has to stop taking things so personal before he can run. If he doesn't he will end a bitter angry wreak after all the crap that WILL get thrown at him and his family.

This article is really fluff. Nothing new to see here, as usual the media is trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill. I really don't think there is any true controversy here

Deep analysis, as usual.

And what's really odd is that the people here didn't hate the article. Matt seems to be on auto-pilot.

Has Kelly reverted to using her maiden name?

as article points out it has something to do with the kind of spouse you have.. whatever goes in gets amplified multifolds in a two person back and forth like bouncing off a wall.. you can argue this is also an article about the importance of wife personalities and impact on your career.. just a general statement

I think this "wife" skepticism thing is just part of the big play. It makes them seem real, I think she is very supportive behind the scenes.

Pretty much.

Good point about the maiden name. It's not the worst they could throw at Rand. The first paragraph is the usual attack mode. It's more subtle after that.

A little bit of play, a little bit of reality, but yes, it's a non-issue. She will back him 150%...

“There is a recurring theme in Washington budget negotiations. It’s I’ll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today,” Paul said, adding a footnote to “E.C. Segar. Popeye, J. Wellington Wimpy: The Yale book of quotations,” at the bottom of the page.LOL

This section is why Rand should run:

But if Paul thinks he has a lot of haters now, things will very likely only get worse for him if he ultimately decides to run for president. And at a certain point, he will have to decide if he’s capable of putting up with it. After all, unlike most of the other people currently contemplating a presidential bid, Paul hasn’t been running for the White House since he was in high school. Part of him probably wouldn’t even mind going back to his ophthalmology practice, and the simpler life that entails. In that respect, the war over whether Rand Paul runs for president isn’t so much within his family as it is within Paul himself.

That's important.

I really think the American people notice that Rand is different from the rest of the big names out there. Rand Paul represents a new way of doing things, something that no one else has.
