I fail to see how this is better than the sequestration?? Seems like tax increases and more spending to me, what am I missing??

I hope the house votes it down, but it will pass with all Dem and a few Repub votes. The end result is more spending. I expected no less from Ryan.

The Tea Party Express PAC seemed pretty smitten with him:

Kremer said, “We have been polling our members for the last couple of months, and Paul Ryan, along with Senator Marco Rubio, have had the strongest support from Tea Party Express supporters across the country. Ryan is a strong fiscal conservative, and he has used his Chairmanship of the House Budget Committee to address the serious financial woes facing the country.”

I doubt the TPE's statistics will still be true today. Rand Paul and Ted Cruz will definitely now have the strongest support from Tea Party express supporters across the country.

LOL! How stupid does Paul Ryan, Patty Murray, John Boehner, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, et al, think Americans are today? They can't stop spending for their; lobbyists, special interest, the created bribery system of campaign donations and the reciprocal eternal employment in Washington DC. Military Industrial Complex gets another increase after the FY2014 Defense Authorization budget was increased $28.1 Billion above the sequester mandated cut.

Okay so I did the numbers on that clever progressive, Keynesian economist, Congressman Paul Ryan, cooking the books and the headlines with the rest of the establishment charlatans...

The $23 Billion in savings are over 10 years and the percentage of savings against the "projected" annual spending budget of $3.7 Trillion, which of course will be going up up and up over the next 10 years, but let's fix the spending at $3.7T.

$23B divided by 10yrs = $2.3Billion savings per year
$3.7T budget divided by the annual (percent savings of $2.3B/yr equates to: 0.0621%

But it gets even better, inflation induced by; THE FED, Washington DC, and State Governments over the next decade, the CBO has projected this year, that outlays for the next decade will be $46,677 Billion.

Well, the so-called $23 Billion reduction to the CBO's $46.654 Trillion over 10yrs equates to a projected savings of: 0.0493% <===

These devious scumbags, that continue to sell us all out to money bundlers and phony savings headlines.

PS: Have you notice... "THE ESTABLISHMENT" career politicians all synchronizing social media propaganda to push this turd of a budget bust? Read this quoted bullshit below

PSS: Today the U.S. Treasury will release the November numbers @ 2pm EST... projection: Deficit of $142 BILLION

Paul Ryan was on Mark Levin yesterday. Levin gave it to him pretty good. Ryan kept saying that the big thing that this deal will give to "conservatives" is more military spending. As if the budget wasn't big enough already. Bill Kristol has praised this new budget deal. Tells you all you need to know. Big government, big spending neo-conservatives back the plan.

Recent conversations have been on the effectiveness of political leaders (i.e. voting the right leaders in). It would seem that most of the Tea Party has been a complete bust, save for Rand. Would this be a fair assessment?

Do you really need more proof? The Republican Party and Democratic Party are nothing but illusions of choice used to distract the masses from the fact that they work together to protect the interests of the corporate fascists and banking cabal that run this country like a plantation. Paul Ryan is supposed to be the brilliant young fiscal conservative. Give me a fucking break. This asshole just agreed to repeal $63 billion of real cuts for some fake spending rate reductions ten years from now that will never happen. We are running $1 trillion per year deficits today, with spending on automatic pilot to increase at an even greater rate due to the aging of the Boomers. Ryan and the despicable Republicans restored the cuts because they hurt their friends within the Military Industrial Complex the most. Every politician in Washington DC is bought and sold by the corporate and special interests that bribe them the most.

The idiot MSM is proclaiming a new era of cooperation. The era of cooperation has never ended. The Democrats have cooperated and allowed a Warfare State to be built on a mountain of debt. The Republicans have cooperated and allowed a Welfare State to be built on the same mountain of debt. Who hasn’t been cooperating? Those dastardly Libertarians who control nothing?

Just think for a second about what this DEAL has accomplished. They have supposedly cut $23 billion from future deficit projections over ten fucking years. That is $2.3 billion per year. The National Debt goes up by $2.5 billion every fucking day. This is a pathetic joke and anyone who isn’t outraged is either brain dead or a part of the Party.

And then there are the true leftist neo-conservatives, who have pushed for both the welfare and warfare states...

Straight from the mouth of Satan:

Good Deal

10:32 PM, Dec 10, 2013 • By WILLIAM KRISTOL

The budget deal announced today is a good deal for conservatives and Republicans.

From the point of view of policy, the deal is a modest achievement—which is all that can be expected, given the unfortunate fact that Barack Obama is president and Democrats control the Senate. The trade-off in the deal of minor mandatory cuts for relatively small domestic discretionary increases is basically a wash. That leaves the defense increase, which, while insufficient, is an important step in the right direction. That alone would make the deal worthwhile.
...
So the deal will be a small but significant step toward strengthening our national defense, and should help produce a Republican and conservative electoral victory in November.

Boehner Unloads At Conservative Groups That Oppose The Budget Deal: 'This Is Ridiculous!'
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/boehner-unloads-conservative-groups-oppose-155832183.html

"They're using the American people for their own purposes. This is ridiculous," Boehner said at a press conference with other members of House Republican leadership on Wednesday.

Project much?

“Americans are deeply concerned about the direction of the country. Over the next few days, lawmakers will have to explain to their constituents, many of whom are our members, what they’ve achieved by increasing spending, increasing taxes and offering up another round of promises waiting to be broken," Holler told Business Insider.

Santelli & Stockman Blast "Festering Fiscal" Budget Deal "Betrayal"
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-12-11/santelli-stockman-blast-festering-fiscal-budget-deal-betrayal

Former OMB director David Stockman rages to none other than Rick Santelli that the budget deal is a "betrayal and a joke" and "the final surrender of the House Republican leadership to beltway politics." The dismal reality - that little to no one in the mainstream media will dare utter - the budget adds $70 billion to spending this year and next year, and "then they're going to pretend to save it in '22 and '23." Stockman blasts, "they've not only kicked the can down the road, but kicked it into low-earth orbit." The only hope of getting our fiscal house in order was if House Republicans stand up, and Stockman warns "will trigger an enormous negative reaction from Tea-Party Republicans." The truth hurts...

Santelli "we're not talking about kicking the timeline can til the mid-terms, " - "this is a two-year vacation on the fiscal budget."

"Just from the momentum built-in, our debt load will be $25 trillion by the end of the next Presidential cycle."

I'm kind of ashamed to admit I'm old enough to remember when 'bipartisan' was not synonymous with 'you're getting screwed.'
