Seriously, if the "Southern Avenger" can throw himself under the bus by expressing regret for...well being "The Southern Avenger" certainly Jesse Benton can sacrifice himself by taking some non-essential non-official role.

How is it a terrible article? I thought it was very well written.

I don't think this makes the movement look bad. There's always a few bad apples scattered about. Maybe this will be just enough to convince Rand to seek elsewhere for possible future campaign staff. Small potatoes as long as Ron is untouchable in this, and I would certainly guess that he is. And it might hurt Mitch's primary. This could be a relatively inexpensive win-win-win-win.
