Libya assembly votes for Sharia law
Don't look now but Sen John McCain's Libyan Rebel moderate Friends voted in favor of Sharia law. Can you imagine Syria like this after the rebels win?
The National Assembly's decision to adopt Islamic law could change banking, criminal and financial laws in the country.
Libya's National Assembly has voted to make Sharia, Islamic law, the foundation of all legislation and state institutions in the country.
The immediate scope of the General National Congress''s (GNC) decision on Wednesday was not clear, but a special committee will review all existing laws to guarantee they comply with Islamic law.
"Islamic law is the source of legislation in Libya," the GNC said in a statement after the vote. "All state institutions need to comply with this."
Remember how last year desperately our MSM claimed Libyans wouldn't vote in favor of Sharia law as such they claimed how moderate the Libyan GNC government was?
I do wonder how would our MSM outlets react now after moderate Libyans voted in favor of Saudi style Sharia law?
