Richard John "Rick" Santorum was born May 10, 1958 in Winchester, Virginia to Aldo Santorum who immigrated to the United States at the age of seven from Riva del Garda, Italy, and Catherine (Dughi) Santorum. [See “natural born citizen” as required by Article II, Section I, Clause 5 of the US Constitution for President and by the 12th Amendment for Vice President.]

- Santorum quoted: “They have this idea that people should be left alone, be able to do whatever they want to do, government should keep our taxes down and keep our regulations low, that we shouldn’t get involved in the bedroom, we shouldn’t get involved in cultural issues. That is not how traditional conservatives view the world.”

- Santorum voted in favor of the Patriot Act and its reauthorization.

- Santorum does not believe that the NDAA changes the law. However, it does give the president the power to indefinitely detain U.S. citizens without trial and due process, an unprecedented violation of the Constitution.

- Santorum is Roman Catholic and publicly against abortion, but voted at least six times to fund Planned Parenthood. “It was against the principles I believe in…sometimes you have to take one for the team”. Endorsed Pro-Choice Arlen Specter.

- Santorum defends freedom of religion, but stated “Privacy is not a Constitutional right”.

- Santorum voted to increase the debt limit five times, adding $3 trillion to the national debt.

- In a single session, Santorum co-sponsored 51 bills to increase spending.

- Santorum said he opposes bailouts, but he voted in favor of the bailouts of the Airline and Steel industries. Santorum declared in 2003 “I am no longer a deficit hawk.”

- Santorum supported the “Bridge to Nowhere” twice, and voted to raise his own pay.

- Santorum quoted: "One of the things I will talk about, that no president has talked about before, is I think the dangers of contraception in this country.... Many of the Christian faith have said, well, that's okay, contraception is okay. It's not okay. It's a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be." — Rick Santorum, interview with CaffeinatedThoughts.com (October 2011)

- Defiant of his church’s decree, Santorum fully supports pre-emptive war. Santorum has a long history of voting in favor of foreign aid; sent billions to countries like North Korea and Pakistan. Prefers isolationism over diplomacy toward countries like Cuba.

- Under Rick Santorum, deficits would have increased $4.5 trillion over two years, under the intermediate projection, leaving a debt equal to 104% of GDP.

- Santorum’s top contributors are Universal Health Services, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Achristavest. Santorum was director of the Universal Health Services , which was sued by the federal government over allegations of Medicare fraud. His SuperPac received donations from wealthy mutual fund manager Foster Friess and multi-millionaire William Dore.

Richard John "Rick" Santorum was born May 10, 1958 in Winchester, Virginia to Aldo Santorum who immigrated to the United States, and Catherine (Dughi) Santorum.

Aldo Santorum had not been naturalized as an American when Rick was born. That makes Rick a natural Italian at birth. Therefore, a Santorum Presidential candidacy is an act of treason against the united States' Constitution.

(Interestingly, the Santorum family in Italy all were/are known Communist Party members.)

Rick Santorum is no conservative. He is a collectivist who believes the role of government is to shape society and the economy in the mold of his personal vision. (http://ricksantorumrino.blogspot.com/2014/08/rick-santorum-is-no-conservative.html)

Real conservatives believe freedom best allows society and the economy to flourish, and they also believe the role of government is to protect life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness. Rick Santorum has made clear he disagrees with that. Because of his voting record and unabashed views, there is no disputing that Rick Santorum is a Republican In Name Only.
Rick Santorum Doesn't Understand Freedom:
"This whole idea of personal autonomy -- I don't think that most conservatives hold that point of view. Some do. And they have this idea that people should be left alone to do what they want to do, that government should keep taxes down, keep regulation down, that we shouldn't get involved in the bedroom, that we shouldn't be involved in cultural issues, people should do whatever they want. Well, that is not how traditional conservatives view the world. And I think that most conservatives understand that we can't go it alone, that there is no such society that I'm aware of where we've had radical individualism and it has succeeded as a culture." -Rick Santorum

Rick Santorum Doesn't Understand Federalism:
"I’m a very strong supporter of the 10th amendment … but the idea that the only things that the states are prevented from doing are only things specifically established in the Constitution is wrong. Our country is based on a moral enterprise. Gay marriage is wrong. As Abraham Lincoln said, states do not have the right to do wrong. And so there are folks here who said states can do this and I won’t get involved in that. I will get involved in that because the states, as a president I will get involved because the states don’t have a right to undermine the basic fundamental values that hold this country together. America is an ideal. It’s not just a constitution, it is an ideal. It’s a set of morals and principles that were established in that declaration, and states don’t have the right, just like they didn’t have the right to do slavery." -Rick Santorum
