A 16-year-old was arrested Friday for allegedly stealing two high-powered FBI guns in Andover.

The weapons, a Colt M16-A1 Rifle and a HS Precision Series 2000 Sniper Rifle, were stolen from a FBI SWAT vehicle parked at an agent’s home in Andover sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday morning during a series of vehicle break-ins in the neighborhood.

Andover Police Commander Charles Heseltine said investigators found fingerprints on the FBI vehicle and another vehicle that was broken into. Those prints were run through a national database and that led them to the teenager.

"High-powered" when in possession of police, "assault" when a regular ol' civilian owns it?

High powered is an archaic term used to differentiate between the rimfire and centerfire rifles. Assault rifles are select fire. The libtards like to make up terms like "assault weapon" and high capacity "clips" in order to sound scary. Nowadays, we (most of us sane types) just call them semi-auto rifles :)

Some thoughtful parent had their child fingerprinted "for their safety" sounds like.....

Assault rifles are full auto.

The Colt M16-A1 Rifle is select fire, full auto.

Maybe he's been arrested before? Or lives somewhere in which you get fingerprinted for a driver's license.

Yup... select fire is usually full auto, but it can also be three round burst... that's what we had. Anything that is capable of going bang more than once with each pull of the trigger is an assault rifle... everything else is just liberal babble.

We didn't have "Burst fire" back in the day. We were taught,,or we learned, to fire 3 round bursts..

That is trigger control. ;)

The Just-us system. If your car was broken into, there would probably be no investigation or fingerprinting.
