Senate Banking Committee Sets Janet Yellen's Nomination Hearing for November 14
Call your Senators and urge them to support S. 209 and to force a vote on Audit the Fed.
This much is clear: Janet Yellen will be the next Federal Reserve Chair.
What is NOT clear is whether Harry Reid has 60 votes to overcome Rand's hold. There are 45 Republican Senators and 6 Democratic Senators who have supported Audit the Fed. Reid will need to gather 10 votes from this group and this is not counting any vulnerable Democrats.
Obviously there are some states where a call to your Senator won't matter too much like California, but if you have a Republican Senator or your Senator is on the list below, please make the two minute phone call. This may be the last opportunity to force a vote on Audit the Fed until Republicans take over Senate, which may be 2016 or beyond.

Remember, it's near guaranteed Yellen will become Chair. What we're asking for is a VOTE on S. 209.

Alaska - Mark Begich: Only Democratic cosponsor of Rand's bill
Alaska - Lisa Murkowski: Often votes for cloture on Democratic nominations but IS a cosponsor of Rand's bill
Arizona - John McCain: Often votes for cloture on Democratic nominations and IS NOT a cosponsor of Rand's bill (but cosponsored bill last year)
Arkansas - Mark Pryor: Most vulnerable Democrat up for re-election
Connecticut - Chris Murphy: One of four Democratic Senators who voted for Ron's Audit the Fed bill last year
Hawaii - Mazie Hirono: Submitted statement in Congressional Record in support of Ron's Audit the Fed bill last year
