I wonder if this will get as much coverage as other stories?
Feds: Navy secrets bought with prostitutes

Feds: Hookers, Lady Gaga tickets used as bribes to get U.S. military secrets
http://www.freep.com/article/20131103/NEWS07/311030147/Feds-Hookers-Lady-Gaga-tickets-used-as-bribes-to-get-U-S-military-secrets

pretty much all the same AP story,, covered by online and local news.

Haven't seen much from the big Media outlets (CNN ABC FAUX)

An AP blurb that will disappear? Or will it get more coverage than a TSA shooting?

Reminds me like those news stories i heard from Kosovo camp Bond steel running a prostitutes ring. Or more rather prostitutes coming to camp bond steel freely.

For "Girl from Bondsteel", curiosity was stronger than
prejudice (http://www.setimes.com/cocoon/setimes/xhtml/en_GB/features/setimes/articles/2011/08/15/reportage-01)

Kosovo, U.N. Res. 1244, and Camp Bondsteel (http://www.dailykos.com/story/2005/11/26/167790/-Kosovo-U-N-Res-1244-and-Camp-Bondsteel#)

There is even a book of this that mentions a report of it. But that report was blocked at the UN.

Misiewicz and Francis moved Navy vessels like chess pieces, diverting aircraft carriers, destroyers and other ships to Asian ports with lax oversight where Francis could inflate costs, according to the criminal complaint. The firm overcharged the Navy millions for fuel, food and other services it provided, and invented tariffs by using phony port authorities, the prosecution alleges.

So the Navy is now dictating to suppliers what they are allowed to charge for goods and services?

This sounds a lot like Obamacare and insurance companies dictating the reimbursement rate to doctors and hospitals, especially when they are forced to provide services that cost more than they are compensated for.

I guess this depends on if you are on the "approved" contractor list. Like those good old boys that were charging $500 for a gallon of gas in Afghanistan. Or the 15-20 levels of shell companies charging out the nose per hour for labor, using sub-standard materials and illegal labor at substandard wages in the aftermath of Katrina. These guys obviously didn't grease the right palms.

And people wonder why we are 17 trillion dollars in debt...

$10 mil,, in one port in one year,,

The company bilked the Navy out of $10 million in just one year in Thailand alone, U.S. Attorney Laura Duffy said.
And this struck me as even more interesting.

That same year, Misiewicz caught the world's attention when he made an emotional return as a U.S. Naval commander to his native Cambodia, where he had been rescued as a child from the violence of the Khmer Rouge and adopted by an American woman. His homecoming was widely covered by international media.

"It's pretty big when you have one person who can dictate where ships are going to go and being influenced by a contractor," said retired Rear Adm. Terry McKnight, who has no direct knowledge of the investigation. "A lot of people are saying how could this happen?"

In December 2011, the two exchanged emails about the schedule of the USS Blue Ridge, investigators say. According to court documents, Francis wrote Misiewicz: "Bro, Slide a Bali visit in after Jakarta, and Dili Timor after Bali."

The complaint alleges Misiewicz followed through on the demands: In October 2012, the USS George Washington was scheduled to visit Singapore and instead was redirected by the Navy to Port Klang, Malaysia, one of Francis' preferred ports where his company submitted fake contractor bids.

A Cambodian refugee,, Groomed to to point of Commander in the US Navy,, Capable of redirecting Naval ships.

I think the theft of millions is a lessor issue here.
And how many more like him are there?

Misiewicz is not the only commanding officer of a forward deployed ship to visit his birth country in a U.S. Seventh Fleet ship. Korean-American Cmdr. Jeffrey Kim, USS John S. McCain’s (DDG 56) commanding officer took command of his ship in a ceremony held at Busan, Republic of Korea, in May, 2009. In November of 2009, Vietnamese-American Cmdr. H.B. Le, commanding officer of USS Lassen (DDG 82) made a port call to Da Nang, Vietnam, as the first Vietnamese-born American citizen to command a U.S. warship and visit the country. He escaped with his family from Vietnam near the end of the war in 1975.

Being mentioned In the MSM,, (though it seems downplayed)

Not much new though,, just a repeat of the basic story..

Nobody noticed a whole Carrier Group being diverted and redirected?

This is a damn good argument for "Bring them all Home".. and cut off the gravy train that supports them.

It also calls into question who these high ranking officers are loyal to. :(

Perhaps all these "intelligence" agencies are looking in the wrong directions.
