Longest war in US history keeps going, not clear if NATO soldier was killed insider attack or outsider attack.
NATO Soldier, 2 Afghan Police Officers Killed
KABUL, Afghanistan November 3, 2013 (AP)
NATO says a foreign soldier has been killed in an attack in eastern Afghanistan, while authorities say two officers have been killed in separate shootings in the country's south.
A NATO statement says that the soldier was shot dead Sunday. It did not say where the shooting happened, nor did it give the nationality of the soldier killed in the attack.

Afghan security staff fired after microphone bomb kills governor

Afghan investigators have fired or suspended at least six senior police, spies and other security officials over a microphone bomb that killed a provincial governor as he led prayers in a mosque this month.
The police chief of Logar province, who was on a pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia at the time of the assassination, has been fired, and the spy chief for the strategically vital area suspended while investigators try to determine how the explosives got inside the building.
