Just when you start to forget war-mongering headlines Drudge Report pushed in 2002-2003 (alongwith NYT, CNN, MSNBC and other MSM neocon lobby pimps), another misleading headline today after distorting an Israeli paper's headline:

Maybe on-off-on neocon Matt Drudge alongwith SWC Obama team staff like Panetta, Rahm Emanuel etc can hop on a plaine to Israel and help them start a war to defend Israel instead of trying to manufacture BS war hysteria among US gullibles. Rahm had done this before, that is at least better than trying to push America into another needless war.

To be fair, in recent years Drudge's coverage has been better than much of MSM and has shown more libertarian streak lately than just being a tabloid version of MSM headlines. But on some issues like Israel-Iran, it can be just as misleading as MSM.

Yeah, I wasn't pleased to see it. I didn't check the sources, or anything like that, but it seemed like the truth. Here is the thing: Is something lost in transaltion? Does Arabic (I think) have many shades of the word "death" that english does not? Inuits' snow.

Drudge is the only news site I frequent, and while I don't like the Zionism to be found there I still like the site.

There are a lot of "right" headlines swirling around the world at any moment, it is what you cover as a top headline that indicates your own focus.
Drudge blacked out news of family of US drone victims in Washington this week like much of neecon controlled MSM.. just as he had blackedout Obama-Andrew Adler scandal. One can only speculate that these news stories were skipped because they do not help with war lobbies agenda.

How is it a misleading headline when their official slogan is "Death to America"?

Well this was distortion since a subgroup of Iranian regime does not represent "Iran". Even US Congress at times has targetted this group for sanctions separately from rest of "Iran".

A "slogan" that has been in use off and on for decades since US overthrew their democratically elected government. Real news is that civilian leadership is removing anti-American slogans posters despite their civilian scientists being assassinated in car bombs by suspected Israeli/CIA agents (with new found synergy since Obama mideast "reset") and US Senators/Presidential candidates on national TV singing "bomb bomb Iran" songs regularly.

But even beyond that, media outlet can be saying selectively "technical truths" while blacking out other "technical truth" and still be judged as "misleading". Even news stories pushed MSM as well as Drudge about Iraq's WMDs/Yellow Cake in 2002 were not necessarily technically "lies" the way they were often carefully worded to decieve without being caught.. but end result was they misled people. My view had also included past indictment of mix record media like Drudge because there is clearly a pro-Iran war agenda at play there.
Some "Libertarians" like Drudge, Peter Schiif seem to get soft knees when it comes to pushing war with Iran.

I stand by my observation above. However I would revise my view if Drudge report that thrives on sensational news headlines headlines this shocking report involving Obama and some Iran war pushers (http://blogs.ajc.com/jay-bookman-blog/2012/01/20/solution-for-israel-take-out-obama/). This is from timeframe when Obama "reset" his mideast policy and one of the various reports that MSM as well as Drudge blacked out.
