“The vast majority of Americans say they don’t want the government to shut down, they want middle ground,” said John Wieland, founder of John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods Inc., who together with his wife penned checks totaling $10,400 to Nunn’s Democratic U.S. Senate bid. In the 2010 midterms, the Wielands each gave $4,800 to the Republican Senate candidate.

“Michelle understands that middle ground, and that’s why we wrote the checks,” Wieland said.

So in 2012 you support a man who if elected would've cut taxes (slightly), cut spending (rate of growth), and repealed obamacare.

Now you're supporting a woman who if elected would raise taxes, increase spending, and will never vote to repeal obamacare.

And you're doing this because you were offended that 15% of the federal government wasn't operating for two weeks?

Actually, the Republican presidential candidate they supported in 2012 and the Democrat senate candidate they support now are the same. These people actually get it.

If only we could convince more of the people who supported Romney to see it.

You can't fix stupid...and you're wasting time, effort, and resources doing so.

Do as our forefathers did.

Our GOP here in Georgia is really pathetic. In 2011 I went to a county convention for the first (and as it turned out, last) time. It was myself and 3 other Ron Paul people, and we all started introducing ourselves (there were probably 9 or 10 people there total, so it didn't take long). When it was his turn, the VERY FIRST thing out of the Chairman's mouth was, "I'm not a constitutionalist." He proceeded to rattle off a good many other things that don't define his beliefs and by the time he was done, it seemed as though he had no beliefs at all. No principles. No strong opinions. Essentially, no character. Honestly, after he opened up with "I'm not a constitutionalist", I pretty much stopped listening to his thoughts on politics. Perhaps he had heard of the 'Ron Paul people' and their silly constitutional arguments. The guy was a big Romney supporter.

This is our former State Chairwoman. The guy they replaced her with isn't much better.

Considering that both Romney donors and Tea Party are "Non-Monolithic", I don't see a reason for surprise.
On top of that, Romney himself is a known flip flopper like Obama,Kerry etc.

I like Broun, but he has serious foot-in-mouth disease. He's got 'Next Todd Akin' written all over him.

They're actually being pretty consistent. Romney didn't want (http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/health-care/item/1955-romney-on-obamacare-in-2010-repeal-the-bad-and-keep-the-good) to repeal Obamacare, his goal was “to eliminate some of the differences, repeal the bad, and keep the good”. Hell, even Obama supported a temporary payroll tax holiday. As for as cutting spending rate of growth, Romney could have easily gone either way if he was elected.

Remember the first debate between Romney and Obama? Romney's strategy was to simply out-Obama Obama, and that's why he "won" the debate
