CNN is smearing Ted Cruz's father on air right now. They are using an old speech from the senior Cruz during the last presidential election cycle. They are dedicating a big segment to it. No doubt Rachel Maddow and the rest of the Marxists will take up the attack today.

They are also using it to attack the "Tea Party".

These propagandists have no shame.

He said Obama was a socialist and was using typical Marxist tactics or something like that. Apparently he questioned Obama's birthplace.

The essence of the smear was that he, the Tea Party, and you are racist.

Is it really a smear if it's something Cruz's father actually said, then? I could understand if they were taking it out of context or lying, but if it's something he actually said, I'd say it's more of a hit piece on the Tea Party than anything else, which isn't new from any of the three networks.

The smear is what they infer and openly say, and their fake outrage and attempt to incite hate. They called him a racist.

Going after family members like this is a bit of a low blow.

And yes, they then used it as a general smear against the Tea Party, and by the time they were done, it was about the GOP.

(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jp4lIvDIv-g)Although he could be even more great if he asked his son to make statement about Obama drone attacks or even meet drone victims family in DC this week.

The irony when he is from Cuba and his son is from Canada.

Yeah, he may find himself in a contradiction if his son runs for President.

Ugh. That article must be the source...

In April, Rafael Cruz, the father of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), spoke to the tea party of Hood County, which is southwest of Fort Worth, and made a bold declaration: The United States is a "Christian nation." The septuagenarian businessman turned evangelical pastor did not choose to use the more inclusive formulation "Judeo-Christian nation." Insisting that the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution "were signed on the knees of the framers" and were a "divine revelation from God," he went on to say, "yet our president has the gall to tell us that this is not a Christian nation…The United States of America was formed to honor the word of God." Seven months earlier, Rafael Cruz, speaking to the North Texas Tea Party on behalf of his son, who was then running for Senate, called President Barack Obama an "outright Marxist" who "seeks to destroy all concept of God," and he urged the crowd to send Obama "back to Kenya."

The left is so predictable. So apparently he is not only a racist, but the inference in this article is that he is also an anti-Semite.
