Last night 10/27/13, our good friend and brother in Liberty, Steve Collett passed away at age 59.

Steve was a very positive, generous, and compassionate man that was never without a big smile. He had a grand heart and worked effortlessly for the message of liberty and the rLOVEution.

His success as a self-made owner of an accounting firm made it possible for Ron Paul 2012 to have a home and headquarters in Los Angeles with 20 phones and activists streaming through day and night until the very end of the campaign. We held meetings, parties, rallies, debate watches, and endless phone-banking from the first floor of his office building, which he generously gave us almost full control over for the entire campaign. He never complained once.

Steve didn't just support campaigns, he ran as a congressional candidate and was even preparing for a big campaign push for 2014 and he was very excited about it. I saw him earlier in October at the CA GOP Convention and his enthusiasm for the future of liberty was through the roof. What a great human being.

I just hope we can all remember Steve for the beautiful soul that he was and the selfless sacrifices he made for our movement. He would've wanted us to be happy, strong and really advance our message so that is exactly what I'm going to do in memory of him.

Thanks for reading.

He seemed like an individual that took Ron Paul's advise to "have fun" to heart. From the pictures he seemed to always have a smile on his face. RIP.

I would like to help the family of such a great friend of liberty. Is there any way to donate?

I'm so sorry to hear this. I never knew Steve, but he seems like the kind of guy who was everybody's friend, and won people over with his contagious warmth and enthusiasm. I hope to see him on the other side someday.

Rest in Peace, brother.

The funeral service on Friday was a great way to send off our dear friend.

Bummer. Could have been another Thomas Massie type individual. R.I.P.
