Let's make sure we have our facts straight when having these conversations.

It appears this “gun-free zone” type policy can actually be traced back to Department of Defense (DoD) Directive 5210.56, signed into effect in February 1992 by Donald J. Atwood, deputy secretary of defense under President George H.W. Bush.

Let's do. No one ever effected real change without clearly figuring out who 'us' is and who 'them' is.

And here's a hint: No one named Bush is one of 'us'--at least no Bush you ever heard of on television. Whether you want to have a beer with him or not.

So, in other words: some policy was signed-off on by some bueaucratic flunkie who was in turn appointed by some executive politician. And we are supposed to regard the name of the particular executive politician in question as being significant or important (in relation to the folly or wisdom of said policy) ... why, exactly?

What the fuck kind of pansy ass bullshit is this? Its like a Fire Department with no Firefighters!

Of course, if we were to take Guns away from the Cops and instead issue them Nerf Equipment, the world might just be a safer place!
