Only a fool wouldn't know that our relationship with Israel causes us war with Muslims.

I didn't work with any fools, sir.

He is being asked if there are a large number of CIA employee's that agree with his position (That our alliance with Israel gets us into wars in the middle east). He refuses to disclose anything about his discussions with other people, but intersperses the above bolded part in. The congresscritter is too dumb to realize that he'd answered his question.... :D LOL!

Damn, Scheuer was throwing some punches in this testimony and has Pete King fast talking defensively.

"We must stop the idiocy of democracy spreading"
"Our allies in the middle east are mostly totalitarian, sir. And they have been for 50 years."
"Osama bin Laden would have been a terrific American politician, because he stays on message."
"It couldn't be worse than it is now. You know, you're presiding over a bankruptcy. What could be worse? And what has been the goal of Al Qaeda since it was formed? To bankrupt the United States. Who's winning today, sir? We're done like dinner."

Holy crap, that was amazing.

It's a pity he got cut off at the end, I was expecting him to throw in a reference to Robert Pape's CPOST project, which is grade-A proof that virtually every act of suicide terrorism (95%) has been motivated by foreign interventionism.

Does anyone know what this is from? I'm not finding it in the C-SPAN video archives and it was posted today, so I'd say recent and they haven't gotten it up yet. Unfortunately, it's not on the schedule for a re-run tonight - at least nothing that sounds like it. Maybe the next night or two.

This was obviously a committee hearing, where each critter gets to ask all the witnesses questions. ie: there is more out there...

So where did this come from? - The YouTube page gives no info.

I just saw some Ron Paul Republican leaders sharing this on their Facebook pages. 1 of them is a leader of 1 of the largest GOP groups in the nation and the other was a Ron Paul delegate to Tampa. Interesting debate between
Michael Sheuer, a Ron Paul fan and Rep. Peter King of NY, perhaps the biggest enemy of Rand Paul in Congress.

Warning: I think there is a curse word in this. I don't support cursing in public but it happened and I think I should warn you.

There may not be any fools in the CIA, but that doesn't mean they are not up to no good. I am sure Sheuer and most CIA employees know 9/11 was an inside job, because like he says, they aren't fools, some might have even been involved with it. Sheuer knows it is taboo to talk about 9/11 though since many have made it into sort of religion to hate Muslims and will aggressively attack anyone that says their hate is based on lies.

BTW, that exchange between Sheuer and Congressman Chris Stewart, Republican, 2nd District of Utah... who was adversarial with Mike, let's look at his background. Bingo, look at this shit below... a little bit of a conflict of interest, eh?

Chris Stewart turned to the private sector. He was the president and CEO of the Shipley Group, a consulting company that specializes in energy and environmental issues. Shipley also participates in government anti-terrorism training, corporate security and executive preparedness consulting. He sold Shipley Group in December 2012 just prior to being sworn in as a U.S. Congressman representing Utah's 2nd congressional district.

http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/politics/55608674-90/brother-business-company-consulting.html.csp

Stewart's older brother Rich, his younger brother Mike and his nephew Jeff will continue to work with the company. His father-in-law also has a financial stake in the firm that Stewart first bought in 2000.

Shipley's main business is to provide training for federal workers responsible for assessing the environmental impact of proposed projects. A division of the company called Shipley Tactical also provides training for the military and law enforcement.

STILL focusing in on Congressman Stewart, Rich Lt. Col. (Ret.) - Chairman of the Board until 12/12 of Shipley Group, then into to Congress 01/13. I noticed the big Defense/Federal Government contractor/consultant/proposals Shipley Associates, is oddly 4 miles away from Government contractor Shipley Group in Utah. North of Salt Lake City, these 2 HQs are coincidentally located very close to U.S. Air Force's major AIR LOGISTICS CENTER - Defense Depot. When you connect the dots, Congressman Rich Stewart and family are DOD welfare leeches.

http://www.shipleygroup.com/news.html

So you can see that Congressman Rich Stewart's brother now runs the family business of Shipley Group, Shipley Tactical, of federal government procurements/contract/consulting.

I've never seen anyone have such a command of the facts and history of our intervention into the Middle East as Scheuer.

Except that Scheuer did not mention any specifics here about history here. Imagine if he started in on Peter King with the litany of unprovoked aggressions and incursions that the west has committed in the Middle East and then ask King if he would fight to the death for the U.S. if the Russians and the Chinese did it to us. He could start with Churchill slaughtering Kurds for oil in WWI and go on for another couple of hours, much to King's chagrin.

And ^this is the reason why the Ron Paul 2012 campaign didn't engage fully Michael Scheuer like they should have. He would have ticked certain people off. I hate to say it, but Ron Paul's foreign policy only makes sense either from an Alex Jones (it's a conspiracy) or a Michael Scheuer (our relationship with Israel is literally killing us) point of view. Sure, there are people in the Ron Paul movement that don't fit into either category. But I'm talking about reaching rank and file America. I was listening to a local talk show host once when someone called in and said our foreign policy is causing terrorism. The host said "I agree. But I think if America being attacked is the price for standing with Israel, I choose to stand with Israel." Note the caller said nothing about Israel. The host just went their naturally. If there is any silver lining in all of this, it's that more recently I heard the same talk show host say, in relation to the Syria intervention, that while attacking Syria might be in Israel's best interest, it wasn't in ours and we shouldn't do something just because it's good for Israel.

Evidence

Chris Stewart is the CEO of the Shipley Group, which consults government agencies on navigating through government regulations in the energy sector. Shipley received $35,000 in stimulus funds. (http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/politics/53794889-90/lee-stewart-campaign-chris.html.csp)

Chris Stewart and Climate Change Denial
Though Chris Stewart does not believe there is sufficient science linking greenhouse gas emissions and climate change, his consulting business, Shipley Group, trained government workers on climate change science and impacts (http://www.shipleygroup.com/courses.html?id=39).
Stewart wrote and op-ed in the Salt Lake Tribune in which he claimed "the science regarding climate change (http://the%20science%20regarding%20climate%20change%20is% 20anything%20but%20settled.) is anything but settled."

Chris Stewart's connections to Koch Industries:

Chris Stewart has received $61,000 from the fossil fuel sector (http://www.opensecrets.org/politicians/industries.php?cycle=2012&cid=N00033932&newMem=Y&type=I), including the largest possible donations from ExxonMobil and Koch Industries

2011-2012 campaign contributors (https://www.opensecrets.org/politicians/contrib.php?cid=N00033932&cycle=2012) to Stewart’s campaign included:

Chris Stewart and Keystone XL

Among the bills Chris Stewart has co-sponsored is H.R.334 (http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/D?d113:8:./temp/%7Ebda07s::), the Keystone For a Secure Tomorrow Act. This bill supports the building of the Keystone XL pipeline.

Chris Stewart and Glenn Beck

Chris Stewart wrote The Great and Terrible, a psuedo-relligious apocolyptic book series similar to the Left Behind series. Earlier in 2012, Stewart, who calls Glenn Beck a friend, began collaborating with Beck to adapt The Great and Terrible into a 10-volume e-book series aimed at a general audience.

Glenn Beck (http://www.oneutah.org/2012/04/who-is-chris-stewart-besides-gop-candidate-utah-district-2/)Interviews Chris Stewart
Chris Stewart and members of his family are involved in pushing an ALEC bill (http://thinkprogress.org/climate/2013/03/11/1698221/state-efforts-to-reclaim-our-public-lands-traced-to-alec/) that would privatize feederal land in Utah, opening up iconic Utah scenery to coal mining and drilling
Chris Stewart's family connections to politics and lobbyists:

Chris Stewart's brother Tim Stewart (http://www.americancapitolgroup.com/professionals.html) is a lobbyist for American Capitol Group, a Washington DC lobbying firm.

American capitol Group lobbies for fossil Fuel interests (http://www.opensecrets.org/lobby/firmsum.php?id=D000031471), like the Western Energy Alliance (http://checksandbalancesproject.org/tag/western-energy-alliance), a group mainly comprised of fracking and oil companies. (http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php/Western_Energy_Alliance)
Tim Stewart lobbied for EnergyNorthAmerica (http://www.opensecrets.org/revolving/rev_summary.php?id=26732), a company he cofounded to lobby for the Fossil Fuel Industry
One EnergyNorthAmerica (http://www.slideshare.net/energynorthamerica) slide presentation reads:"The fact that fossil energy and mining are viewed by political "elites" with disfavor, a view driven by acolytes of radical environmentalism, has resulted in damaging laws and regulation and general neglect"
Other Family connections:
Judge Ted Stewart » Before he was a federal judge, Ted Stewart worked for Utah Govs. Norm Bangerter and Mike Leavitt. He got his start in politics with Rep. Jim Hansen, serving as his first chief of staff. He ran for Senate in 1992, losing at the state convention.

Brian Tarbet » Tarbet married into the Stewart family in the 1970s and, like many of the Stewarts, he served in the military, rising to the rank of adjutant general of the Utah National Guard. He retired from that post in October and is now the general counsel to Utah Attorney General John Swallow.

Cody Stewart » Ted Stewart’s oldest son worked for Sen. Hansen’s office. He has also worked for former Rep. Chris Cannon and Rep. Rob Bishop and he spent three years lobbying as part of Tim Stewart’s firm. He is now Gov. Gary Herbert’s energy adviser.

Luke Johnson » Ted Stewart’s son-in-law. He became a deputy director in the Interior Department and lobbied with Tim Stewart for a time. He remains in Washington, D.C., where he is the vice president for the National Ocean Industries Association.

Mike was fiesty here!

Always like to hear his opinions, but can't ever forget the video I saw of him not knowing about building 7.

Would like to know his true take on who was really behind 911.

Methinks Mr. Scheuer knows more about false flag operations than he lets on.

With all due respect to the few dispensationalists who are not political about it, this is why I hate dispensationalism.

(Disclaimer: I don't agree with Gary North's reconstructionism. This is still a great article.)

All right. Let's be honest about what you're all saying here: dump Israel (a democracy) in order to appease UBER totalitarian organizations that stoop to nothing--any brutality--to get what they want, which is a kingdom of mindless, uneducated, Koran worshippers.

My agreeing or disagree with this is not the point. The point is you are twisting a completely selfish agenda that results in a clear global loss of human rights and liberties--everything contrary to what libertarians hold dear--into a self-righteous convolution of logic for the sake of--expediency. Okay, we've been screwed over by so many of our "allies" in the past maybe it's worth it. But to have the nuts to claim to be proud of this position defies comprehension.

Just because something is good for you doesn't make it "good." Who raised you?

Amazing that fellow libertarians can come up with such deeply conflicting positions as this. Please explain. I'm flummoxed.
