President Obama used his weekly radio address to reject the latest offer from House Republicans to end the fiscal stalemate. The outline of their proposal was released Friday and would have reopened government through December and lifted the debt ceiling for six weeks.

Isn't kicking the can down the road what Obama has been doing his whole time in office?

What's his game in this thing? It's the most irrational behavior I've ever seen.
Is he legitimately losing his grip on reality?

As long as Juan McFake and the press have his back, he can do anything and still come out ahead. 80% something percent of America is living in fantasy land right now, and reality is gonna come a calling.

All the politics right now is being done with the 2014 elections in mind. They are doing things to help their talking points for when they go back home and campaign.

Wish they'd make up their mind about whether or not they hate banks and capitalism.

But still. Even Reagan negotiated with O'Niel. Clinton with Gindgrich.
Those dudes hated each other but they found a way to make a deal. I've never seen such intransigence.

What's the difference between kicking the can down the road a few years and kicking it down the road a few months?

Obama won't be in office and it'll be somebody else's problem.

Reagan & Gingrich were really just paper tigers when it came to such "showdowns." Unlike before, the threat to the establishment posed by the recalcitrants may actually have some teeth this time (though "baby" teeth, to be sure). If that's the case, then the Obama admin., Democrats and moderate/liberal Republicans are going to want to completely "shutdown" the "anarchists" (LOL). They'll want to nix any appearance of making concessions in order to avoid giving the impression that the "anarchists" have any clout or are "gaining steam" ...
