The Pisgah Inn is back open on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Last week the Inn tried to fight the order to close by the National Park Service in the wake of the federal government shutdown, and when it refused to close, park rangers were sent to block the entrances to the private business. The business is private, but leases the land from the federal government. Pisgah Inn owner Bruce O'Connell says he hired lawyers who filed an injunction in federal court to try to overturn the order. He says the Park Service then decided to remove the blockade of the Inn.
