A debate between the candidates for U.S. Senate is coming to Rowan University.

Democratic candidate Cory Booker and Republican candidate Steve Lonegan will debate on the Glassboro campus Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m., the University announced Thursday evening.

NBC10 Anchor Jim Rosenfield will moderate the debate, along with a panel that includes NBC 4 New York anchor David Ushery and Philadelphia Inquirer Washington correspondent Jonathan Tamari.

If a republican wins in New Jersey, I think its a sign that even liberals hate obamacare. Booker has over a 10 point lead though, so I don't even think this is a close race.

I liked that Lonegan used Rand's talking point about funding Sandy aid by cutting funding from foreign aid and specifically countries that "burn our flag".

Booker sure has been going out of his way in these 2 debates to talk up his relationship with Christie.

Hah! Lonegan hit right on that point at 30min into it.

Also I liked "Booker is just the Hollywood standin for President Obama".

Ya know, I can hear a hint of desperation in booker. Perhaps I'm biased, but he sounds weak.

at 42:00, Lonegan got booker on booker describing social security using the exact definition of a pyramid scheme, just minutes after booker accused lonegan of calling it a pyramind scheme. nice exchange here.

In the last 2 minutes at 54, Lonegan NAILS booker on abortion. You can see booker stumbling and both refusing to support banning partial birth abortion and refusing to say he would ban it. That was a winning exchange for lonegan.
