The Most Dangerous States in America

By Charley Blaine and Michael B. Sauter

You might think that going to California, Texas or New York exposes you to a lot of crime. But in fact it was Tennessee that had the nation’s highest violent crime rate last year.

The FBI’s latest statewide statistics offer a snapshot of the underside of the 50 states: where violent crime is most likely to occur. According to the FBI, violent crime includes murder, rape, robbery and aggravated assault. 24/7 Wall St. reviewed the states with the highest rates of violent crime in the country.

I could be wrong about this, but I think I read once that there was a period during the '70s when the area around Pine Ridge, South Dakota had the highest per capita murder rate in the country, which quite surprised me. And of course, that very ugly period culminated in the standoff at Wounded Knee, and then of course the dastardly kidnapping and caging of Leonard Peltier.

Here are some other Dangerous States that are NOT on that list:

The State of Dependancy
The State of Oppression
The State of Poverty
The State of Insanity
The State of Vunerability

How many other States can you think of that could easily summarize what our Govt has done to its people?

Did they put the percentage of crimes committed by cops, prosecutors and judges on citizens? That's how you really know if a state is dangerous.

Breaking down violent crime by state is misleading at best. Most crime, and violent crime in particular, varies dramatically over very small regions. In fact, MOST violent crime in the country can be narrowed down to a handful of very small, easily identified urban areas.

If you are not involved in illegal activity and don't live with someone who is,
if you are not an alcoholic or other drug addict and don't live with one,
and if you do not live in, or pass through, one of the narrow, easily identified, mostly urban high crime districts,
the chance that you will ever be the victim of violent crime is extremely small.

I would guess most of that is in Memphis.

The crime capital of the world is still the District of Columbia, though. And since the Perpetual War started, it has become the violent crime capital, too. But, of course, killing civilians in Damascus inflates the Damaskan crime statistics, even when those crimes are perpetuated by the controllers of drones living in Washington.

WE'ER NUMBER 1!!!!!! WE'ER NUMBER 1!!!!!! WE'ER NUMBER 1!!!!!! WE'ER NUMBER 1!!!!!!

However, if Arkansas would finally take Memphis off our hands we'd be no where near the top of the list. For those who want to see Graceland, go, look, leave.

I would guess most of that is in Memphis.

I think you would be correct. The corruption in Memphis contributes to the problem.

Corruption everywhere contributes to the problem.

We need to dig deeper. What Enables the Corruption to begin with? Legalizing Bribery of Congressmen by Lobbyists? Unlimited Campaign Contributions from Corporations? The Law enables Corruption, and the Corrupt will maintain Corruption Enabling Laws to their benefit, and at our expense.
