Aftonbladet is the most widely read newspaper in Sweden and it does now have a poll asking what candidate people would prefer as the President of the United States. Aftonbladet often does follow-up stories on their polls and Ron Paul has a good shot at becoming the highest ranked republican candidate. I would be glad if some of you would take the time and vote for Dr. Paul.

Here is the poll: www. aftonbladet.se/nyheter/usavalet/ (copy, paste in web browser, remove the space between 'www.' and 'aftonbladet') The poll can be found in the gray box above the picture of Obama and Oprah.

The poll asks "Who do you hope will become the next president of the U.S."

Current stats:
Hillary Clinton: 46.4
Barrack Obama: 24.3
Al Gore: 13.4
Don't know: 4.4
Rudy Guiliani: 3.4
Ron Paul 2.4
Other: 1.6
Mike Huckabee: 1.2
John Edwards: 1.1
John McCain: 0.6
Bloomberg: 0.6
Romney: 0.4
Thompson: 0.3

Democrats: 85.2
Republicans: 8.9
Other: 6

Done, but I would post the actual link, and break it. If you have a hyperlink they will be able to tell all the votes came from the ron paul forums.

Bump. Ron Paul has hardly been mentioned at all in heavily biased Swedish media (I'm Swedish too), so it would be nice if he got some recognition.

Here's Aftonbladet's own description of Ron Paul from here:
http://www.aftonbladet.se/nyheter/usavalet/article1345916.ab

"Conservative libertarian with extreme ideas () and huge support from grassroots"

I tried to break it, but it automatically becomes a link

I don't understand a god damn thing on that website. I can't even find the poll either.

It is just above the picture with Obama and Oprah. It is a gray box with names in it. Rather small. I added the description to the main post.

Just put a space in between www. and the rest. people will have to cut and paste, then remove the space.

copy/paste this:
http://www.aftonbladet.se/vss/special/storfragan/rostning/1,1936,30633,00.html?rost=alt11
It /should/ work. I'm not completely sure, though.

I opted to put the space between 'www.' and 'aftonblatet'. If the space is hard to see I could move it.

Are they aware Gore is not running?

Being journalists of a newspaper of Aftonbladet's size they should know (the newspaper and its website reaches 2,5 million people everyday in a country with a population of 9 million). I think the put his name there only because a lot of Swedes like him.

Are they aware Gore is not running?

I think so. The question is who the reader hopes becomes president though, and some people are still hoping for that with Al Gore.

Vem hoppas du blir USA:s nästa president?

hoppas = hope
