Seymour Hersh has got some extreme ideas on how to fix journalism – close down the news bureaus of NBC and ABC, sack 90% of editors in publishing and get back to the fundamental job of journalists which, he says, is to be an outsider.

It doesn’t take much to fire up Hersh, the investigative journalist who has been the nemesis of US presidents since the 1960s and who was once described by the Republican party as “the closest thing American journalism has to a terrorist”.

Why should articles like this be in HT? Seymour Hersh is a mainstream journalist. The story was originally published in a mainstream newspaper (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2436610/Pathetic-Award-winning-journalist-Seymour-Hersh-slams-American-press-challenging-US-governments-LIES-Bin-Laden-raid.html). Ron Paul is no longer running for anything and he recently let the cat out of the bag that he questions 9/11 including WTC 7.

Really, it's time to quit pretending that there is something wrong with "conspiracy theories" and get rid of hot topics altogether.
