I think he supports the murder of more people than Bin Laden. I think he'd vote for the murder of more people than Bin Laden killed.

Although, I suppose you could ask quite how much responsibility each senator has individually. And how much support each individual who votes for a warmonger has individually. There are no easy answers for those questions.

I agree that I don't really like the term. My point was simply to say that bombing people is just as much "terrorism" as crashing a plane into the twin towers. But I don't really like that term either.

The easiest way to make someone's views appear unreasonable or illegitimate is to change the meaning of the terms they use.

It's one of my biggest pet peeves; that you must imagine yourself as being in the time period of the person you're reading because those who lack an argument always bastardize the definition of words. Repeat a lie or popularize a misuse of a word and within a short time period it becomes the accepted definition.
