I think this post should be entitled, "Mainstream Media and the powers behind them now want us to believe that Romney Gains Credibility In Early Primary States" ;)

It has become so obvious that Giuliani and McCain are unelectable, that Romney is being thrust forward as the new candidate of choice (at least until Thompson enters the race). He's a slick mofo, no doubt, so it's a good play on their part.

I pity Romney. I can't forget that pathetic despairing expression he had when Hannity told him he came in second to Ron Paul. :p

I just received propaganda from Mitt Romney in my mailbox yesterday. In it was a picture of his his extended family, showing he believes in family values. He also touted his wonderful success as a CEO of his former employer.

The kicker was when he wanted me to check off that I'm with him because he is the only candidate who stands behind "core conservative values".

Pat Buchanan was right in his book How the Right Went Wrong - It's a neocon takeover of all that's conservative, even what is valued.

I may send Mitt his little pledge sheet back signed - scratching out Mitt Romney and writing Ron Paul in there!! I'll show that I donated $50 to Ron Paul, not Mitt Romney, and tell them everytime I get something from them, I'm donating more to Ron Paul!!

Seriously - I feel like more and more political "reporting" is just the MSM creating news that they want to tell (or that someone with power, behind the scenes, wants the public to believe).

I also second that Romney is one slick Mofo. He will end up at least beating McCain and Giuliani.

I remember when I used to think CNN was this amazing source of objective international news. Sure, I thought that they put a bit of an "american spin" on everything, but I had no idea that it was all a complete fabrication. I now find myself shaking my head, saying, "how could you have been so duped?" I'm happy to be on the other side of it now. The journey was a bit bumpy, but I'm the better for it.

McCain and Giuliani are damaged goods. And Romney... as much as I hate to see it, people are attacking him more for being a Mormon than for being semi-socialist. It's going to be a race to bottom for all 3. The "powers" know it and that's why we see Fred Thompson...

If I'm not mistaken, the first debate he appears in should be the Iowa debate...? If so, expect the MSM to cover just him for half the debate.
