This is worse than trying to get a 4 year old to admit that he stole a cookie! These people have no concept of honesty.

Adm. Mullen Admits Special Ops Told to 'Hold in Place' During Benghazi

On Thursday, while denying that a "stand-down order" was given to Special Forces members ready to help Americans who were under siege at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi last September, one of the heads of the Benghazi Accountability Review Board (ARB) admitted that a "hold in place" order was in fact given.

Okay, look "Hold In Place" vs "Stand Down", you can clearly see that there is a difference in the letters and the order of each of them within the quotes, can you not see that they are different? Do I need a /sarc on this or is it obvious?

Is "hold in place" anything like "shelter in place"?

Is "hold in place" anything like "shelter in place"?

Yes, but for those that have the means to do something about the problem (since they're disarming the citizenry).

It's also similar in that it is a phrase meant to obfuscate the actual intention, ie:

hold in place <-> stand down
shelter in place <-> marshal law
