The family of Aaron Alexis, the man who shot and killed 12 people during a murderous rampage at Washington D.C.'s Navy Yard yesterday, has issued a statement to the families of those who lost loved ones apologizing for their "inconvenience."

Family of gunman Aaron Alexis: "Our hearts go out to you.We apologize for the inconvenience of losing a loved one,we also lost a loved one."

All funeral arrangements... missing work. Someone else has to raise children... Awkward moments during future life events. Right up there with having the president air during "big brother", and Aldi being out of their sale items.

I feel sorry for the children in those situations. Hopefully they will grow up and be able to break the food stamp cycle. They might not have a choice though if the government cheese runs out.

That was my thought. Not everyone can afford to hire a spin doctor or lawyer to craft their statements to the hounding media in the immediate aftermath of a shocking tragedy.

If ever a relative goes on a shooting spree I vow to make no apologies for them. It won't be my fault anyways.
