Any Republican who votes in favor of a major tax increase like this should face a primary challenger.

Republicans just voted for $650 Billion in additional taxes AND giving more corporate welfare write offs on New Year's .


The GOP leaders are just as much puppets as the Democrats... it's all about complete control. No better way to enslave the people, then through taxes, more and more of them at every levels of government.

That was a little bit different since the tax cuts were set to expire anyway, and President Obama wouldn't sign a bill that extended all of the tax cuts. But, this is a situation where many Congressional Republicans are actually proposing the creation of a new tax for no reason. I thought one of the basic principles of being a Republican was that you were supposed to be opposed to tax increases.
