You couldn't make this up.

HOUSTON - A 19-year-old man was arrested Tuesday and charged (http://abclocal.go.com/kfsn/story?section=news/bizarre&id=9245654) with criminal trespass after allegedly breaking into a Montgomery County church so that he could pray.

According to authorities, a woman inside the church heard someone trying to pry open the locked front doors. She then confronted the suspect, Juan Ramon Maldonado, who told her he "came to pray." The woman called authorities after leaving the church with her three children.

When police arrived, Maldonado was sitting at a piano. He admitted to forcibly opening the church doors to gain entrance. He told police the same story: he "came to pray."

He was arrested and taken to the Montgomery County Jail.

I remember a time when churches were always open just so people could come in an pray anytime. <---This was in NY, mind you.

Yeah I'm sure the intruder was being honest when confronted about why he was there. Why not pray somewhere else anyway?

There are certain times when one needs the comfort you can feel by praying in church. Some may not get that, but I do.
