i think what he needs to start doing repetitively, and today's debate would be a wonderful opportunity to start, is to inform the republican voters that there is no way any other republican would even stand a chance against a democrat in the general election.

spell it out for them. it's either leave iraq while strengthening the economy, lowering taxes and reform a more competitive health care system with ron, or leave iraq, watch the economy plummet while our taxes soar, and welcome socialized health care with the democratic nominee.

Agreed. Now its time to turn the tables on all of those CFR-Republican loving "moderates" who have always told us Constitutional Conservatives to be "pragmatic" and vote for a candidate who can win (meaning a Socialist Republican).

Where is all of that "pragmatism" now when it is so clear that a Pro-Bush, Pro-War Republican is doomed in 2008?

and he can do this in a way that explains that this is the only possibility for republicans to beat a democrat, so that the media doesn't have a "he's attacking his own party" hissy-fit.

hopefully he'll follow the suit :)

i think it would be wonderful if he made this his main issue, a lot of republicans would be more prone to convert if he would talk more about trying to save the party rather than change it.

One problem, Zogby refutes this claim. All 5 'top' tier candidates can defeat Hillary. They lose to Edwards and Obama.

isn't gallup the most respected poll around? they have hillary beating every republican top tier candidate.

even FOX's polls show hillary taking the presidency over the republican top tier candidates. i don't think one zogby poll should discredit every other scientific poll, especially gallup.

is there anyone on the forums that can contact paul before the debates, or is this just not a good idea?

Today has already been a very busy day for Dr. Paul. I think every minute is critical for him. In my humble opinion the best we can do as a community is pray (if so inclined) or chip in a few more bucks to his campaign. After seeing his interview on FoxNews this morning, I made a small donation just to show Dr. Paul that I'm still here, I'm rooting for him, and fully supporting his showing in tonight's debate. I'm sure that my house will be echoing with cheers and jeers during the debate tonight.

Polls about next years general election are useless. I don't believe a poll until about 5-7 days before the date and you have to look at the margin of error. A '+/- 4 percent' can represent an 8 point swing.

Don't appeal to polls. Appeal to common sense.

The other Republicans and Hillary are pro war. The American people are not.
