“Is this possible global conflagration interrupting your video poker time?” Stewart mockingly asked McCain, pointing out that the senator has been pushing for the U.S. to attack Syria for a year, only to devote the moment to picking up an imaginary winning hand.

“You know what, Senator? Go,” Stewart said. “There’s a Rascal scooter and a bucket of quarters with your name on it over at the Golden Nugget. You could play all the video poker you want, 99-cent prime rib. Instead of playing pretend poker in the actual Senate, go to an actual casino and pretend you know what the government should do.”

pretty decent and subtle 'emperor has no clothes' metaphor he managed to slip in there at the end

video at link. it's also interesting stewart's show has picked up to use the term 'imperialists'

Wasn't Jon Stewart Leibowitz's time off dedicated to making an anti-Iran propaganda movie?

I don't really expect him to be helpful in stopping war with Syria.

The "Moment of Zen" on his show last night was the clip of Dempsey saying "No Comment" to Rand's remarks. Not sure if that was to portray Rand as someone who doesn't know what he's talking about or not.

who knows.. i don't watch stewart

but like i been saying.. we need all the help we can get. especially from a number of people who just refuse to believe in liberal idiocy around here, if there's anyone who they see as sane it would likely be jon stewart. if he fails too then the liberal defenders on this board need to grow a pair and cut the bs

Usually when you can get somebody to say "no comment", you've won, so that's probably a good thing.

I didn't watch too much of John Oliver while Stewart was gone but I agree the show seemed to deviate to the left a bit - so it was refreshing to see Rand dominate Oliver in the interview they had and to see Oliver be a good sport about it.

Yes because the people on this board controls all the liberals they defend. I should people shouldn't have to look to Jon Stewart to know how to think and judging by how the majority of America is against the war, people are already thinking the right way. If you look at the pictures of people protesting against the war this past Saturday, you'll notice that a majority of them are "liberals". Though that's not enough for you right, just have to draw this left/right, conservative/liberal line every chance you get right?
