"tough as granite", "a rock star" lol

The potential 2016 GOP presidential contender was the keynote speaker at a New Hampshire Republican State Committee fundraiser in Dublin. He started his speech with high praise for Ayotte (http://concord-nh.patch.com/groups/politics-and-elections/p/ted-cruz-kelly-ayotte-is-a-rock-star), who introduced him.

"Kelly Ayotte is a rock star," he said. "Let me tell you, your senator is as tough as granite. There is no stronger advocate of the men and women in our military in the U.S. Senate than is Kelly Ayotte, and there is no one tougher going to get the truth about what happened in Benghazi than Kelly Ayotte."

Just to remind everyone, the bitch waffled on gun control, voted for a "fiscal cliff" deal, voted for Amnesty, and will probably vote to get 'the men and women in our military' killed in Syria.

The websites tallying potential votes on authorization of force have Ayotte in the "Yes" camp.

There's a topic here with the links but I can't look for it right now. CNN and Washington post have it.

Cruz isn't one of us. he's a cancer for liberty.

Cruz is Michele Bachmann in drag.

what Bob Barr did for the LP Cruz can do for the libertarian wing of R party.

Great comparisons.

He is useful for certain subjects, but that is all.

Why is it such a surprise that Ted Cruz is a neocon.....is this not an easily discernible fact??

Ahem, Cruz offering pleasantries doesn't mean he stands with her every policy decision. Back when he was attending a fundraiser for the SCGOP back in the spring, Graham was there but he offered no praise and instead went on and on about how great Rand was. Yes, Ayotte is a waffler but it's up to Granite state republicans to hold her feet to the fire. Businessman republicans are the class of people that DC bound candidates for office look to to raise money in NH. They are the well off and likely many of them are status quo. Those in the NH state house mostly don't need these big shots and rely more on grassroots activism to get them elected for $100/yr salaries.

If this was the only problem with Ted Cruz, I could agree with you. I don't judge people by a single mistake.

But there's a lot of reasons why Ted Cruz is a snake. This is just the icing on the cake.

I don't think there's anything wrong with Cruz praising Ayotte at an event where she introduced him. But, I wish he could've given her a compliment that was actually true, like saying that she's done a good job opposing Obamacare, or opposing tax increases, or something like that. It was a lie to say that Ayotte is a strong advocate of our armed forces. If she were a strong advocate of our armed forces, she wouldn't want to use our armed forces to help Al-Quaeda in a civil war.

Because it's not true, that's why. When we use that term so carelessly it loses all meaning. You know what neocons (http://www.lewrockwell.com/2003/07/ron-paul/weve-been-neoconned/)are and Cruz isn't one of them. But, you're right that he isn't with Ron or Rand on foreign policy. But, he certainly doesn't seem to be on-board with the police the world meme and invading and overthrowing countries just because we can.

He's not. You need to look up what that word means.

Stop treating Ted Cruz like its a black and white issue. He is showing to be horrible on foreign policy but at least decent on domestic policy. TO say he is an ally is incorrect but hes not as destructive as a Peter King or McConnel or Grahm or McCain.

ne-o-con (noun.) Anyone who disagrees with Murray Rothbard

Rand Paul sure is a neocon because he proposes a flat tax instead of completely eliminating taxes.

Kelly is not very liked by Republicans here in NH. She is losing support fast. Obviously the liberty movement never really got behind her but those left that were supporting her are leaving fast.

Do we have a GOP Primary challenger? One needs to step up!

Baloney. Very many of the people who misuse the word "neo-con" don't even know who Rothbard is - let alone whether the person to whom they are (mis)applying the appellation disagrees with Rothbard. (Code Pinkers do not agree with Rothbard - how many times have you heard Rothbardians refer to them as "neo-cons" ... ?)

Let's hope a liberty person doesn't show up. I'd hate for millions or whatever to be wasted by liberty folks when that money can be used to elected state reps, state senators and executive council members in NH. Those positions are vastly more important to the future of NH, the US and the world.

How do you figure that? To me it seems like at the very worst he's middle of the road on foreign policy. He's with us on some foreign policy issues like believing that Congress must declare war before we go to war, opposing Obama's proposed military action in Syria, opposing Obama's intervention in Libya, supporting cuts in foreign aid, opposing nation building in Iraq and Afghanistan, etc. It shouldn't have to be all or nothing. Cruz isn't 100% good or 100% bad on foreign policy issues.
