In the movie Braveheart, the Scottish realized that to defeat the King of England, they would have to unite the clans and become as one - an army of ragtag farmers so solidified in their common purpose, that the king of England could not defeat them.
The same is true in our fight to defeat the forces of tyranny and socialism here in the United States. We, the Ron Paul grassroots supporters - disparate in every manner posssible, must unite in our common goal. Each state needs to unite it's separate and distinct meetups under the banner of one and each state meetup needs to use the global meetup at http://ronpaul.meetup.com/boards, to organize nationally. It is our best chance at winning. All the money and all the advertising in the world cannot do what a United army of volunteers can do with boots on the ground activism organized through the meetups.
I have already created a global Ct. meetup and I encourage any of you in states that have not done this already, to consider starting something to that effect. The communications through meetup.com is poor (at best) for getting messages across to the now over 1000 groups that are working to help Ron Paul. If they are united under global meetups, it will make this much easier. The campaign has it's own fires to tend and we have ours and we must get to the point of being organized nationally in order to win.
I would ask each of you, no matter where you are, to take the initiative to begin this process. Many states are far ahead of Ct. in this regard and I partially blame myself for being involved in larger efforts which did not concentrate on Ct. but I believe those efforts were necessary and accomplished their goals. Now it is time to get each state organized and to use the global meetup board for Ron Paul as a means to win this primary. So who is going to take the bull by the horns and lead their states?
