What are they charging him with?

I don't know. They didn't say. What I posted above was all they posted. Political prisoner maybe?

I think they are truly just scared of him.

He videoed himself allegedly loading a shotgun while allegedly on Freedom Plaza in D.C.

They're charging him with violating D.C.'s loaded-gun-ban. And they're treating him, as far as bail goes, worse than a multi-billionaire mass murderer who could kill 1000 people as he boards his private jet to an uncharted Pacific Island. He's neither dangerous or a flight risk, yet they won't consider evidence showing such, so they are keeping him "on the inside" until they have a show-trial in October.

The winning plaintiff in the landmark gun rights Supreme Court decision Heller v. District of Columbia told Human Events peace activist Adam Kokesh was unjustly imprisoned for expressing his constitutional rights.

“A non-violent man in a mere display of political theatrics did nothing different than what peaceful people do at other civil rights demonstrations,” said Richard Anthony “Dick” Heller.
[...]
Heller said he attended the hearings at Superior Court for the District of Columbia to see how the judges’ rule in this matter. “We will determine whether we are a nation of laws that believes in the constitution or will the court’s ruling be a display of its infringement.”

The eight-year Marine veteran is a gun-control laws protester who is deserving of our support, said the private security officer, who guards federal buildings in the capital. “He is a First Amendment political prisoner, being held without bail, for advocating for the Second Amendment.”

Don't leave the fate of your life in the hands of government, ever.

I'm thinking he needs a new lawyer.

I'm thinking he needs a new lawyer.

His current lawyer seems to be doing okay. He does seem to want to fight this using straight-forward, tried-and-true legal practice, and maybe someone who was more in-tune with radical civil disobedience could make more of an impact. But I'd suspect that the latter would not serve Kokesh's interest in getting out of a cage as well.

But if you really think that a new lawyer could do better, feel free to start a donation drive.

He is already forgotten... from what I can see.

Few protests, few articles and then silence.

If you want an effective protest, seek a result whereby the government attacks many people, puts cities on curfew, and SWAT's as many homes as possible.

You want Christopher Dorner response, x100.

The conditions of his bail probably were not to talk about the case and to not be in a home where firearms are present. His right to travel also being limited.

If that were the case I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't accept it either way.

They know exactly who this man is. He has never skipped bail. If a bondsman is willing to accept the risk involved in signing for him, which they surely would, he should be granted a reasonable bail. The stipulations may be why he is still there. Or not speaking to the 'roos on the bench.

Rather than wildly speculate, does anyone have the text of the ruling from the court? There should be a statement of fact with it that will answer your questions.

They know he has a lot of viewers, so he makes a good example for the masses: see, this is what happens if you are not a good little sheeple.

Mandela was locked up for decades, he was terrorist when he went in and hero when he came out. Extreme example though.

That happened, it was called the Boston Bombing.

Quite right, and the response was far from "Dorner":

http://www.timeslive.co.za/Feeds/Reuters_Images/2013/04/20/mdf36134-20-04-2013-04-04-27-756.jpg/ALTERNATES/crop_630x400/MDF36134-20-04-2013-04-04-27-756.jpg

People do not want freedom.

They want a police state, cradle to grave care and the ability to boss other people around.

And they'll kill you if you stand in their way.
