Apparently, the pigs have been harassing pro skier David Lesh after he was seen firing a pistol in a promotional video.

Here's the promotional video.

Here's part of the dialog:

PIG: What was up with that video brother?

DL: I can't comment at all.

PIG: What do you mean you can't comment, it's just a video, right?

DL: I can't say anything else

PIG: I'm not asking you to say anything.

PIG: You're lawyer might advise you not to talk, but that doesn't apply.

Overall, I thought he did a pretty good job with the interactions.

Harassment? Seems to me the more significant issue is the false arrest. Why doesn't anyone seem to be taking issue with that problem?

Well they haven't officially arrested him yet.

Well they haven't officially arrested him yet.

There are different levels of arrest.

He was already arrested by having been pulled over & arrest implies official. I've never heard of an unofficial arrest before and I don't think there can be such a thing either. In other words, what I'm trying to say is that if that were me I'd be considering filing a complaint or pressing charges for kidnapping. Or, perhaps by pulling him over then releasing him without pressing charges perhaps it could be argued that they have forfeited any chance of charging him with this firing a gun from a car or sign that they have an issue with. Basically I'm trying to figure out what the consequence is for the way they're doing this. To me, pulling people over to "harass" (as you cleverly put it) people is in itself a crime. If they want to interrogate him, why don't they call him on the phone, email him, or go to his home, knock on his door, ask if they can speak to him, etc. the way cops normally do?

That doesn't mean it isn't false arrest, though.

I agree completely.

He doesn't even realize it.

"The cops were actually pretty stoked on the video. They kind of liked it. But, you know, they had a job to do."

For all I know, he could have been shooting blanks, but he still looked like one stupid fool doing it.

What about the video of him supposedly being pulled over & interrogated; could that also be fake? Those "pigs" probably aren't actually police - just actors. Another thing I'm wondering is if all this stuff is a publicity stunt. That's why I was making light of the lack of concern about the false arrest to begin with (in case anyone didn't already pick up on that).

He was shooting out the window randomly and looking in another direction. It just looks damned dumb to me. Maybe the cops want to put him on the force. Cops seem to be sporadic shooters themselves.
