I've not heard of anyone who wants him to run.

Except this guy might welcome him over Obama:

You want to know Ted's father's foreign policy?

I hope he meant Ted when he made that comment, otherwise I'll freely agree with you that it was a dumb comment.

Ted probably has the Vice-Presidency in mind.

As I have said numerous times, he really can't run. No foreign policy experience. No assembled national organization. And less than 1 year on the job. 2016 is not happening. 2020 is more likely.

I can live with that, at least he's solid on domestic policy even while being terrible on foreign policy. I'd rather have someone like him than someone like Christie who's terrible on both foreign and domestic policy on the VP ticket.

But as I've said, Rand had better be very, VERY tight with security if he allows anyone less libertarian than himself in the VP spot.

No, Rafeal Cruz. His dad has same name as him?

Ted probably has the Vice-Presidency in mind.

On Democrats ticket?

GOP is going Libertarian/Anti-LeftWingWars and not going to nominate anyone who calls for invasions of Syria or Iran and other countries on request of Israeli lobby.

And a majority of the libertarian faction support Ted Cruz...

That's exactly why I don't like Cruz, but that's also exactly why so many conservatives like him.

Apparently far too many people don't care about foreign policy nearly as much as I do...

Emphasise mine. Don't think any future POTUS can get any tighter with security than Bush-Obama dream team already have:

Domestic/foreign policies and their costs/consequences are tied to the hip, even more so post 9/11. if you care about Liberties inside US, you can't afford not to care about foreign policy/tax payers funded dictatorships/occupation regimes abroad.

In case you think you can worry about US without worrying about foreign policy, I would ask is this result of domestic or foreign policy?

Cruz hasn't called for the kind of military action that Obama is contemplating in Syria. He just called for some type of short special ops intervention to locate Syria's chemical weapons and destroy them. I guess we'll see whether he opposes Obama's military action in Syria, if Obama goes through with it.

How many people here will be stupid enough to continue to support them if he supports a war in Syria?

I'm guessing a lot of people...

I would still say that he's the 3rd best we have in the Senate, but that's not saying much.

Allow me to disagree with you again. VP choice would not have any bearing here, but if you had said he needed to be tight with security if he decided to not invade other countries on behalf of foreign countries interests, then you may have had a point [caution: some may find this link controversial] (http://blogs.ajc.com/jay-bookman-blog/2012/01/20/solution-for-israel-take-out-obama/)

Obama won't be able to. Iran has threatened to attack Israel's nuke facilites if Syria red line is crossed.

Some seeds of 9/11 were sown well before full invasion of Iraq, it was an air raid-bombing of a bunker "Saddam command n control" which in reality was a civilian shelter. Over 400 civilians were burnt/boiled to death, mostly children and women.

Do you think Rafael cruz called for this bombing to appease Israeli lobby or for America's security? Do you trust neocons or any of their puppets to be smart?
