View Full Version : Running for City Council, Need to Buy Signs

I need to put in an order for yard signs for my City Council campaign. Anyone know where I can get a good deal on signs? The first place I checked was way too expensive ($1500 for 200 signs). So I thought before googling, I would check here and see if anyone knows of a good vendor. I'd prefer to support Liberty-minded businesses anyway.

Thanks!

Try Fast Signs.

singnsonthecheap.com is where I get mine. Super quality and best prices I have seen. Try to find the H-frames elsewhere though, SOTC does not have the best H-Frame prices. I was fortunate to hook up with someone who had bought thousands of the things from China a few years back.

Try Fast Signs.

I found them way too expensive for my budget.

At SignsOnTheCheap (http://SignsOnTheCheap.com) you can get 200 double sided 2 colors on white coroplast for $460 plus $62 shipping

Thanks for the replies. Fast Signs was actually the place I was talking about in the OP. Way too expensive.

If you would like any large format printing go to https://www.echodgraphics.com,

they are fast friendly and cheap. However, you must provide the artwork. They do all types of large format printing - from banners, window graphics, to billboards. These are the same people that made the banners($650 for both sides) for this mobile billboard-->

You ever thought about making your own signs? It's a lot cheaper, and while it's a lot of work, it's also fun.

Home Depot used to sell door skins, I assume they still do. Each sheet made 12 signs when cut in half lengthwise, and each resulting strip into 6ths. All you need is the door skins, a table saw, and some paint.

Make some stencils and get to it! Works out to about 70 cents per sign when done correctly.

Yes, I actually have someone who has agreed to let us use his shop to make some, but we were only planning on making giant wooden ones. I need to spend my free time knocking on doors and campaigning, etc. Good idea though. I might be able to have some volunteers make some. Thanks!

Just a thought...there should be a system in place to allow for the recycling of the frames among the liberty movement.

Yeah that's a good idea, I'm not buying any frames because we have tons left over here from other campaigns.

Forget signs. I have a better idea! Find out who your opponent is, at night sneak around town and spray vote for "your opponents name" on peoples doors. Then call as many voters as you can at midnight and say that you are from your opponents campaign. In two nights you will have the whole community hating him, and you will win by default. The end.

I was campaign manager for a local city council candidate. We ordered stencils online (2 of them) and did the big 4X4 wooden signs ourselves. Just drill holes in the sides and use fence posts

I don't know who they ordered the campaign signs from though. I think the first batch was a local company (you might call around) and then the second was online somewhere. Save them all in case you run again in the future.

Do you have a good design? I think our candidate won because she had unique signs (not the typical run of the mill ones)!

The liberty movement is awesome with help. If you need a simple design - ask for it!

This is for city council?

Use a local sign shop. Trust me, the word of mouth will pay for itself.

I know I've already spammed this old stuff recently, but since its relevant, here ya go...old stuff from Ron's 2008 campaign. Like I said, the hand, are signs worked out to about 70 cents apiece.
