"The Fool Factory" , Wolkowisz's name for Yale where all the idiot-savant elites are recruited from for the western intelligence services in Charles McCarry's spy novel, "the Last Supper". Gives a very good depiction of the predilections and inclinations and loose history of those in the real intelligence services while spinning a good yarn. Well worth reading.

New York Times:

He instructs us that the real problem is not so much moral quicksand as incompetent scheming.
