I have been saying for 5 years that Obama is Bush on steroids. I also said Romney's candidacy was doomed from the start. You can't compete against Lenin incarnate with the man who brought socialized medicine to the US.
The GOP better get its act together and quick. So far, we have 3 announced candidates for US Senate and 2 potential unannounced candidates. There's not a spit's worth of difference between them as all 5 are social conservatives and supporters of the welfare state (albeit a smaller version of what we currently have). I don't think there's a fundamental difference between them on foreign policy.
I have sworn to not waste a single second of my time or a single penny of my wealth ever again supporting a GOP social conservative candidate. In the end, they are a bigger threat to my freedoms and liberties as any Democrat officeholder. Why? Because they continuously damage the Republican party and associate freedom and liberty with the discrimination of people based on sexual orientation and the destruction of the 1st amendment by mandating their religious views via government force.
Mark my words, Mark Udall will win re-election against all 5 of these candidates. He will do it the same way Bennet won against Buck in 2010 (and how Romanoff might win against Coffman): He will make any of them toxic by using their own words against them and those words will highlight their social conservative positions. Sad and depressing that THESE are the leaders to fight left-statism! Right-statists.
