I wonder if some of the divergence between the libertarians and the necons is due to age but more specifically the cold war where spying and strength was a must. What I don't understand about today is we have the most dominate military the world has ever seen and will likely be that way for year/decades maybe even centuries to come.....assuming our currency doesn't collapse under the weight of our military.
