Interior Secretary: I don't want any climate-change deniers in my department

In an agency-wide address to employees Aug. 1, (Interior Secretary Sally) Jewell took the unusual step of suggesting that no one working for her should challenge the idea that human activity is driving recent warming. “I hope there are no climate-change deniers in the Department of Interior,” she said.

What happens if you find there are a few climate-change deniers in your department? Do you just hope they change their mind?

Ow, I bumped my head on the cupboard, my brain hurts.

Edit:
My dad always called them the "Department of the Inferior."

If she were talking about not wanting so-called "human-caused global warming deniers" working in her department, then I would be saying that this is religious discrimination. But what's a climate-change denier? Someone who doesn't believe in the existence of spring or autumn, or something like that?

Why would you deny climate change? The climate is always changing. It's a whole other thing to deny that humans are causing it, which I do, but she did not specify.

It baffles me that we always refer to ourselves as anything but humans unless it's regarding the topic of global warming. any other time we call ourselves workers, average voters, tweeters, consumers, and the list goes on in a manner conforming to the political narrative. But when it comes to this topic we want to refer to ourselves as humans all of a sudden.

Reminds me of this article... The Brief, Tragic Reign of Consumerism—and the birth of a happy alternative (http://richardheinberg.com/museletter-255-the-brief-tragic-reign-of-consumerism-and-the-birth-of-a-happy-alternative)

Still, as the critics have insisted all along, consumerism as a system cannot continue indefinitely; it contains the seeds of its own demise.

Since when did it become her department?

What is the next step? Are people going to be put in jail for questioning human caused global warming like some people in European nations are put in jail for questioning the Holocaust? When there is not enough evidence for something you shouldn't be put in jail for proclaiming it. The truth doesn't need laws to protect it, lies do.

Well I do not want any anti-constitutionalist in government! So if she cannot recite the Constitution without some nonsense interpretation she needs to find employment elsewhere--like China, Russia or the UK.

Pseudo science and government force are two inseperable aspects of politics. Whether its global warming, Darwinism, educational indoctrination, or whatever...fake science will always be implemented by force.

Statists believe that there is a political class and a lesser evolved and lesser priveledged class.
