hey guys, my brother, cousin, and myself made one of the videos on www.rudysreadinglist.com. We were hoping to try to get the word out in our local area to newspapers and television as a local human interest story, so that we can really spread Ron Paul's message for free. Do any of you know how to get a free press release out or any other ideas?

here is the video we did.

Ok, now the question is how do I send this out? do I send it to each news source individually that I am interested in, or is there a free or cheap newswire I can use to blast it out?

I believe you can release it for free to the web, but I would call the local rags and stations, find out how to submit releases directly to their newsroom. They might prefer email, fax etc.

In your contact info, try to include phone and email contact. Sometimes the guys in the newsroom might want to call for more details to use in a sidebar.

When you're ready, post back to this thread. I'm checking this forum every couple hours.

You might want to find out if you actually know someone who knows any local reporters; the important thing about a press release is for it to be as close to an already-written article as possible because it means a lot less work for the reporter with a deadline.
