Afghan attack kills three US soldiers

11 Aug 2013 14:26

Three American soldiers have been killed in an attack in Afghanistan's eastern border region, US and NATO officials have said.
A US official said on Sunday that fighters in Paktia province killed the soldiers from the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF).
"Three International Security Assistance Force service members died following an enemies of Afghanistan attack in eastern Afghanistan today," the ISAF said in a statement.

30 percent of Iraq, Afghanistan veterans have mulled suicide: survey

By Bill Briggs, NBC News contributor
Nearly one third of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans have contemplated suicide, according to survey results (http://iava.org/2013survey?org=403&lvl=100&ite=7276&lea=2038156&ctr=0&par=1) released Wednesday, underscoring the dark depths of a mental-health crisis that has gripped the U.S. military and the American veteran community in recent years.
In addition, 45 percent of the 4,000-plus survey respondents said they know of an Iraq or Afghanistan veteran who has attempted suicide, reports the group behind the poll, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) — the largest advocacy organization for men and women who served in the wars, representing about younger 170,000 veterans. Some 2.2 million Americans have been deployed to those countries.

If he said anything it would be something crap, such as "They're killing us because they hate our freedom and democracy, we need to put more troops on the ground" or something.

I'm glad he's playing golf instead. Why can't he do that for three years straight?

Are you saying he has no responsibility for thousands of Americans killed in Afghanistan since he escalated war there?

President Bush at least also used to invite veterans who lost limbs fighting wars he had sent them too and used to play sports with them. Have you seen any such photos of Obama?

If that is true that terrorists are killing us because of our freedom and democracy, well they are succeeding lol. Freedom and Democracy eroded!

Of course not. I'm saying if he WASN'T playing golf, what would he be doing instead? Probably something even more evil and nefarious.
