“What this means is that whites and Asians will get suspended for things that blacks don’t get suspended for,” because school officials will try to level punishments despite groups’ different infraction rates

http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2012/07/26/executive-order-white-house-initiative-educational-excellence-african-am

President Barack Obama (http://topics.dailycaller.com/politics/obama-administration/barack-obama.htm) is backing a controversial campaign by progressives to regulate schools’ disciplinary actions so that members of major racial and ethnic groups are penalized at equal rates,

regardless of individuals’ behavior.

His July 26 executive order established a government panel to promote “a positive school climate that does not rely on methods that result in disparate use of disciplinary tools.”

http://www.examiner.com/article/obama-asks-public-schools-to-ingore-bad-behavoir-by-black-students

To comply, public schools would have to engage in a racial quota system of discipline. (http://dailycaller.com/2012/07/27/obama-backs-race-based-school-discipline-policies/) The executive order will create a new Federal bureaucracy to pressure school systems to comply with the president's demands. The executive order makes no mention of any effort to get black students to improve behavior.

Is this really happening? The IRS is STILL discriminating against their political foes, when they said they weren't. And now we have this garbage?

My first reaction was "What the hell?", but you have to realise: according to the PC wisdom, all people are equal (and equally prone to bad behavoir), which means higher infraction rates for black kids can only be attributed to institutional racism in schools. The way to correct institutional bias against black kids is via government action.

Wonder what our rural school is supposed to do, last year there was one half Mexican kid and the rest were the dreaded white hillbilly...

No blacks to punish or equalize....

What a conundrum...

Get creative, just punish that half of the one person half as much, problem solved.

You may attend the next praising ceremony, comrade, but leave your 1st amendment considerations and your 2nd amendment paraphernalia at home, and please do not assume your 4th amendment rights if you should have a change of heart toward our dear leader while at that most solemn occasion.

The actual language of the Order:

(vi) reducing the dropout rate of African American students and helping African American students graduate from high school prepared for college and a career, in part by promoting a positive school climate that does not rely on methods that result in disparate use of disciplinary tools, and by supporting successful and innovative dropout prevention and recovery strategies that better engage African American youths in their learning, help them catch up academically, and provide those who have left the educational system with pathways to reentry;

We need gender based discipline equality. No more picking on the boys! ;)

Brian4Liberty
08-09-2013, 11:17 AM
This may be even more relevant. How would this be implemented?

(iii) decreasing the disproportionate number of referrals of African American children from general education to special education by addressing the root causes of the referrals and eradicating discriminatory referrals;

"Positive school climate" that enables troubled black kids to simply run amok. This is insanity. This is liberalism at its worst: stupid government enforcing equal outcomes. I'm not surprised liberal media are not talking about this.

I don't really understand this, 'racial quota system of discipline' wtf? I have to believe that's just some wacko bird's :p interpretation and not really how the EO will work.

I do think there are certain things that are unfair and make it harder for black children(but not exclusively) to succeed at school tho, doubt this EO changes any of those tho.

It does not say black children should not be diciplined.

Yes it does.

Disparate is the key word there. If all the black kids get in trouble, you can't punish them, because that would be disparate punishment since only the black kids are punished.

Ha! Nice catch. I don't remember how I came up with this one to be honest... Maybe I grabbed from one of the conspiracy sites like ATS or GLP? Sometimes the anon community gets to tweeting stuff on one year anniversaries... I have my feelers out there for liberty stories; can't tell you where I found this one though.

Don't forget that if they are 1/16 or more Cherokee, you now can only punish 1/8 of that person a quarter of the time.

Now that statement is clearly racist!...:rolleyes:

Dear-Reader has procramed that ethnicity must be a factor in judging people...

I'm sorry if you found this thread to be "race bating" but I find quota based affirmative action in school discipline, by executive order, to be quite racist in and of itself; apparently I'm not alone.
