“The bottom line is we’re not broke, there’s plenty of money, it’s just the government doesn’t have it,” said Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), “The government has a right, the government and the people of the United States have a right to run the programs of the United States. Health, welfare, housing – all these things.”

Well , here we go , lets see, Minneapolis ( no suprise there, that would be the solid commie 20% of the state ) , his Father was a social worker ( I m shocked and amazed ) and psychiatrist , he ( the rep) was a civil rights lawyer ( I would have never guessed), he is a member of the Minnesota , ( I am not making this shit up ) Democratic - Farmer - Labor - Party . In addition to this , he is evidently an expert on govt , welfare , housing etc . Probably a good rep for all those socialist assholes in Minnesota.

And everything is all shinny in capitalism?

Free Market Enterprise works pretty well, except when the government jumps in and jacks up the process.

And everything is all shinny in capitalism?

Fallacy of the excluded middle.

No one made that claim, and it's not the argument for a pure free market. The argument for a pure free market (i.e. no institutionalized violence/theft or threats thereof) is that (1) it's the only moral way to act, (2) it's better for the bulk of humanity, and (3) it controls the big corporations/big money players/good-'ol-boys club better than a govt ever could.

There is no "third path" in the long run: a govt that can do one thing legitimately will fester, metastasize, and otherwise spread until it controls the entire economy - meaning every decision that every individual makes - and then fails due to the lack of rational allocation signals (i.e. pricing).

Socialism, in whole or in part, will ensure that everything that was once shiny will rust, and will ensure that nothing will ever be shiny in the future. "Capitalism" - in other words, a pure free market - makes sure that SOME things are nice and shiny when the people want nice and shiny things, and rewards those who make them.

Minnesota should be proud of the damage they have done , not only did they send Franken to the Senate , Obama took 54 % in 2008 , then they all thought that was so grand , he got 53 % in 2012. If you meet anyone from there , they should buy you a beer and donate $100 to your future healthcare , lol

Experts on Govt, Wlefare and Housing usually work for the government or statist think tanks. If people were smart they would be Businessmen, Scientists, Engineers and Physicians. Instead of esoteric shitty liberal arts education.
