Basically the CIA is reportedly giving polygraph tests EVERY MONTH to more than a dozen CIA employees that were on the ground in Benghazi during the attack, to ensure that none of them talk about what happened that night.

Yeah, what's up with CNN, this is completely out of character. My instincs tell me something else is afoot and this is a diversion.

On second thought, I imagine that they are getting out in front of the story, so they they appear to have credibility, so as to guide the narrative.

CNN has been surprisingly "fair" lately, at least with the coverage of events I've seen. Ive wondered if even media types aren't pissed about the NSA spying stuff particularly on the heels of the AP spying story.

That.
And that they need to begin to look like investigative reporters. Perhaps the Ron Paul channel as well as the Ben Swann Liberty Rising projects are making them nervous.

Personally I'm more surprised at this part "CNN Reports" than I am at this part "CIA Engaged in Massive Intimidation Campaign to Keep Benghazi a Secret", Sad but true.

Yeah it does look like they're doing more investigative stuff lately.

off-topic:
Did any of yall see that clip on Anderson Cooper where the CNN reporter ambushed the head of California's substance abuse treatment department on her way to work regarding the rampant fraud in their department? It was great and surprising to see a CNN reporter actually doing journalist stuff. Im gonna try to find the video.

Here it is:

I don't see why this report is so surprising to many here. CNN itself may be pretty anodyne, but this report was for Jake Tapper's show, and he's always been about the only DC reporter who isn't interested in simply being a Court Stenographer.

For me it's more like "it's about time they report on this." This has been reported on in the alternative media for a long time now.

Those who are employed by the US Empire may fool themselves into thinking they're "special" by virtue of their attachment to the "big machine," but they're just slaves and tools. The elites who are using them have zero respect for them.

A few months ago liberal rags called Rand Paul a conspiracy theorist for telling what many of us knew was the truth. (I've been tweeting about this CIA shit for awhile)

Wait, wut?

Are you telling me that the CIA, and associated government operatives, supplied weapons to Al Qaeda, then, knowing full well an attack on US soil was imminent, stood back and did nothing to prevent it?

Helped it happen, in fact?

The hell you say...

This proves then that rumors about CNN/NYT insiders being in bed with agencies were not confirmed ?

CIA 'running arms smuggling team in Benghazi
when consulate was attacked'

The CIA has been subjecting operatives to

monthly polygraph tests in an attempt to suppress details

of a US arms smuggling operation in Benghazi that was ongoing when its ambassador was killed by a mob in the city last year, according to reports.

Up to 35 CIA operatives were working in the city during the attack last September on the US (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/) consulate that resulted in the death of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans, according to CNN (http://thelead.blogs.cnn.com/2013/08/01/exclusive-dozens-of-cia-operatives-on-the-ground-during-benghazi-attack/?hpt=hp_t4).

The circumstances of the attack are a subject of deep division in the US with some Congressional leaders pressing for a wide-ranging investigation into suspicions that the government has withheld details of its activities in the Libyan (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/africaandindianocean/libya) city.

The television network said that a CIA team was working in an annex near the consulate on a project to supply missiles from Libyan armouries to Syrian rebels.

Sources said that more Americans were hurt in the assault spearheaded by suspected Islamic radicals than had been previously reported. CIA chiefs were actively working to ensure the real nature of its operations in the city did not get out.

So only the losses suffered by the State Department in the city had been reported to Congress.

"Since January, some CIA operatives involved in the agency's missions in Libya, have been subjected to frequent, even monthly polygraph examinations, according to a source with deep inside knowledge of the agency's workings," CNN reported.

Frank Wolf, a US congressman who represents the district that contains CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia, is one of 150 members of Congress for a new investigation into the failures in Benghazi.

"I think it is a form of a cover-up, and I think it's an attempt to push it under the rug, and I think the American people are feeling the same way," he said. "We should have the people who were on the scene come in, testify under oath, do it publicly, and lay it out. And there really isn't any national security issue involved with regards to that."
A CIA spokesman said it had been open about its activities in Benghazi.

"The CIA has worked closely with its oversight committees to provide them with an extraordinary amount of information related to the attack on US facilities in Benghazi," a CIA statement said. "CIA employees are always free to speak to Congress if they want," the statement continued. "The CIA enabled all officers involved in Benghazi the opportunity to meet with Congress. We are not aware of any CIA employee who has experienced retaliation, including any non-routine security procedures, or who has been prevented from sharing a concern with Congress about the Benghazi incident."
