I recall a poll coming out after the primary that showed Romney was the most unfavorably viewed candidate by his own partyin decades. I'm willing to guess he's probably subpar in rankings.

Never understood why Ryan's so popular. He's always struck me as a boy scout sort. Well, the boy scout who skins his victims alive or something, lol. The good news is I don't think he'll run. He seems to prefer the house, and he's even admitted his vp run brought nothing to the table.

Nice to see Rand ahead of Christie. I hope it lasts. Let's also hope this is not some sort of rebound for Rubio.

Ryan's never really been attacked nationally. The only reason anyone cares about him is because he was the VP nominee. After being selected, are Republicans going to go out and attack their own ticket? No. Are Democrats going to criticize Ryan for voting for TARP, and other Bush-era big government goodies? No.

I bet Ryan sinks like a stone if he enters the race.

I hate to be so vain as to comment on looks but you would think Ryan would lose some points looking like an adult Eddie Munster with that wicked widows peek.

So basically as far as serious contenders are concerned Rand Paul is first. We comfortably beat Ryan in Iowa and slaughter him in NH. All while Ryan hasn't even been vetted while being a VP in the last race. So well done Rand Paul.

This is extremely encouraging stuff if its accurate.
I remember polls like this on Ron and what really hurt us was the unfavorable rating. It kept him from being many voters second choice as candidates entered the race and it also produced many people not only voting for someone else but working against him/bashing him.

I'm glad to see the overall level above 50%. I hope the unfavorable rating stays below 20%.

The best news in this poll is that Christie has the highest unfavorable rating ... that is the rating that really bites your campaign.

I think Ryan is a very charming fellow who comes off as very intelligent, serious and caring.

I'm not surprised people have a favorable opinion of him. That isn't the same thing as saying they'll vote for him.

Tells you how far the GOP has fallen when guys like Christie and Boehner are at the top of the "hero" list.
