I just wish that the argument would stay away from Snowden or "Who can query the data". It's about the data being stored, period. Anyone can, in the future, query what is stored.
If I want to shred my documents that the government has stored even if no one has ever looked at any of it, I can't (and don't anyone give me the "What if you could file a request with the government to get it done" crap).

I really hate that Greenwald's mic was cut, at the start of the answer, when asked if collection was on foreign or domestic or both. He said "It's both" (which you don't hear) and then continues. Toobin then acts like he acknowledged that it was collection of Americans conversing with foreign entities, which is not what Greenwald said (and the conversation goes with that implication for a bit).
